We started off Sunday with three dedicated shooters, two who drove hundreds of miles to attend the event. Monday we added a fourth, a first time Appleseeder (Aaron) who took to the instruction like a duck to water - scoring rifleman with a solid 231 during the week.
The weather early in the week was miserable (rainy, windy, and cold), with snow on Monday. Nevertheless, the shooters persevered. Everyone put in a magnificent effort, with two new riflemen and two re-qualifies:
Lew 213
Ian 217
Will 248 - yep, that's Wilbur
Aaron 231
We gained one new orange hat (Ian). Welcome to the instructor corp.
Engineer Shooting and Lucky Lori came up from Florida to provide their expertise and support. There's no way this RBC could have come off as smoothly without their deep knowledge, patience, and friendship. Jzody helped with instructor duties, a great asset on the line as usual. I thank you all profusely.
Great job, everyone!
Wow, 248! That's some mighty fine shooting, Will.
Boot camp this year was special. It was cold, rainy pretty nice just before it ended, and it even snowed ! Although we did not have alot of new shooters those that we had worked hard all week and improved. Everyone had fun. Its always to see old friends come back to Ramseur to shoot and help out!
