We had shooters aged five to 75 for an exciting weekend of heritage and marksmanship. The mornings started out chilly (upper 20's), but warmed up into the 50's in the afternoon.
Ron (Henry Foxall) got us started with a great first strike, and then he continued with strong marksmanship instruction going over sling use, prone SHFs, and the 6 steps. The shooters were extremely teachable, and heartily used the instruction to good effect.
As the day continued, we had more top notch instruction by Matt (Jyorb) including a riveting second strike. Randy (Creakyknees) finished the day's instruction with spell binding third strike. Throughout all, Jeff (Jzody) and Bruce (Bracesandboots) played terrific supporting roles.
Fred dropped in and out during the day, and gave a closing benediction that knocked it out of the park.
Day 2, after review, KD component, and some sighters to confirm zeroes we hit the AQT grind. We had two strong rifleman recerts with a 244 for Chris, and 234 for Darrell.
All-in-all, a great weekend. My heartfelt thanks go out to all the instructors who gave their time for this event. They did an outstanding job.
