Another Winterseed in Laramie!
The sunshine patriots got weeded out, that's for sure. 2 signedup and one backed out because of flu. Sara and Jacob were the only official shooters. Both stuck it out for Sat and Sunday. Persistence shows. Sara did most of her shooting from a chair and raised her AQT score from 61 to 136. Great progress, Sara, keep it up.
Chris was only able to spend half a day with us and got called out before he could qualify, but he was well on his way.
Sarah (not Sara) also could only be with us half a day. Come again, both of you!
Range Liason and board member, Jacob had shot Rifleman score back in June, and proved that was no accident by shooting 5 consecutive qualifying scores (229-235) to win his Winterseed Rifleman patch.
He also took his orange hat. Thank you, Jacob, for stepping up.
Rasputin took time out from SBing to requal and get another WS patch.
Pewpewpew, also took a break to send some rounds down range. He gave it his best but was just shy of qualifying with his icy AR.
Sleepy and Mr Aufbau both did yeoman service instructing and running the line. Sleepy received his RedHat. Congratulations, Rick.
Thanks to the shooters, the Instructors and to Laramie Rifle Range for hosting another Winterseed.
The heated clubhouse was most welcome for History and lunch. Thank you, Tessa, for feeding us with your great elk stew.
Attendance was not what we wished, but the attitude of everyone was great.
Thanks for keeping the AppleSeed spirit alive!
Thanks to M1bzrk and all the instructors for making this a fun event! Everyone was willing to help, despite the cold (with windchill it was just above zero all day). Look forward to seeing you again in Laramie at the Laramie Rifle Range later this year. :F
Thank you,
Jacob
Man that sure looks cold!! We got more snow here, 50 miles east but not so much wind.
Congrats to all who attained the "icicle" patches, Thanks for Jacob stepping up and for all the students and instructors who braved the elements to meet with like minded folks and have a great time. Wish I could have been there!
You all are tough enough!
Congratulations sleepy on taking your red hat. It was great to have you come all the way to Tallahassee to join us for boot camp just a year ago. We missed you but are glad you will be working hard in Wyoming and the cold. Brrrrr is all i can say about that weather. I thought it was cold for our boot camp recently when we awoke from our tent sleeping to find ice on our windshield and water. 30 was cold enough for me. Congratulations to all who came to learn and the brave instructors who came to teach. Lucky Lori
Great job sleepy! Hope to see you down Florida way again some day, you know it's much warmer down here.
Sleepy!!! Didn't know you had it in you!!! Good job!!! Of course, it has its effects . . . no longer being a Cook and all . . .
We missed you at the Daniel Morgan Games on the Isaac Davis Range. Everybody qualified. So the Shoot Boss made the test tougher. They still all qualified. Guess we're gonna need a longer range or sumthin' . . .
Oh, and M1, on the slight chance you come to visit, we've got some real mud waiting for you!
