Out in the west Texas Town of El Paso it happened again..., Awakening Americans aging from 8 to 48 descended on the El Paso Community College's Law Enforcement Training Academy for 2 fun filled days of History, Heritage and Rifle Marksmanship!
The opening Red Coat had everyone jumping from the sound of 3 center fire rifles firing in unison. :---
As the day's passed from squares to greencoats, stories of the events of April 18-19, 1775 kept everyone hopping.
Sunday found us on the range with only 1 center fire rifle firing and things progressed relatively well into; The AQT Grind!
Eight(8) year old Kevin P. shooting from a rest fired a 220 and a 230 on the AQT, should his physical prowess allow him to he will be slinged up next time.
Eleven(11) year old Anna F. was keeping most of her shots in the neighborhood of the silhouettes.
Thirteen(13) year old Fernie O. was bumping up against the 200 mark repeatedly.
Fourteen(14) year old Carly was moving her way up through the AQT, while her sister Greenly(9) was having a great time shooting from a rest.
Thirteen(13) year old Juan-Carlos F., having struggled with shooting a right handed rifle, left handed, on the next to the last AQT of the day fired a 218.
Aaron B. at his second Appleseed requalified with a 230 using the only center fire rifle on the line today.
Aaron also accepted the 7th Step challenge, donning an Orange hat as an IIT0.
As the last AQT of the weekend was completed, most of the participants were firing on the brink of 200's, lots of Sharpshooters! O0
We of the Instructor Cadre of Project Appleseed in and around the El Paso area are honored to spent our weekend with such a fine group of Awakened Americans. :F
We truly hope to see you all again soon.
Also, our sincere thanks to the El Paso Community College - Law Enforcement Training Academy for their continuous support and the use of this "State of the Art" facility. ^:)^
Thank You!
"till we meet again", Happy Trails,
Jerry
