:F
It was a great weekend at the Shoot Shack Range in Lithia, Florida. Project Appleseeds first ever shoot at this range turned out to be a nice little success. It certainly perked me up after all of the Hurricane adventures of the past week.
Saturday and Sunday even though the weatherman predicted heavy rains in the afternoons our Appleseed luck held with only a few mild showers.
Our Shooters drank from the fire-hose of Marksmanship and History soaking in all the information we could feed them and shot to make some good AQT scores on Saturday.
AJ who wrestled AK all day Saturday switched Sunday to a loner M1 Garand. He then went on to show his RIFLEMAN mettle by shooting an AQT of 208. Not bad, indeed he is a man who knows well what he is about.
Sunday morning we were short two Shooters as they had job requirements that require them to be other places in the range unfortunately.. but Dr. Rich P arrived right at the start of the seed with two young, new Shooters to help fill our lines.
Eddie and Alexis work very hard to keep up with the other shooters and showed fine form and Marksmanship despite have missing Saturday's instruction.
At the other end of the age spectrum Emilio our oldest shooter was 74 years old and work well at getting into all the strenuous positions that Appleseed requires.
I would be truly blessed if at 74 I could do half as well.
PIC's soon follow.
