We had another fine Appleseed at the 5 Dogs Range in Bakersfield
last weekend.
Although we only had two students, what we lacked
in quantity was made up in quality. These were two very attentive
students, both of whom had never fired a rifle before!
Troy had done his homework before class and came with a gussied up 10/22.
LM came with a brand new mini14 (stainless).
We started out slow with both shooters getting used to their
equipment  :slap: and working out the bugs.  :DH:
Did I mention it was hot?  $$-0
We managed to shoot one AQT by the end of the day.
LM found out she needed a scope.
And both her & Troy appreciated the 3 Strikes.  :F
On day 2 we were sad Troy couldn't make it back,
but we mustered on without him.
LM brought a scope this time and by the end of the
day we saw major improvement in her grouping compared to that of
Sat mornings.  :snipersmi
I know that with persistence (as riflemen and women do)
she will attain the coveted Rifleman patch.
It was a pleasure to teach these wonderful students.
November anyone?
