We had an excellent "Inaugural" shoot at the South Texas Gun and Bow Club range at the Jim Wells County Fairgrounds in Alice, TX! ^:)^
The new Appleseed range had 5 shooters attend, including the very experienced Appleseeder Two Wolves, three youth ranging in age from 11 to 14, and the local 4H shooting coach (who managed to shoot a 210 on Sunday!) "It's tougher than it looks!"
Each of the youth brought enthusiasm and a willingness to listen to the instruction and History! All showed steady progress through Saturday and Sunday, and our youngest shooter went from shooting "somewhere in the teens" to a respectable 109 on the AQT. He's definitely going to come back :) A young lady at the shoot shot a 197(!) and is knocking on the door!
rbwatson and Ghostring provided the History for our group, and we had a grand time telling our DOM stories on Sunday!
Mike, one of the attendees, stepped up and took a Blue hat! He has helped keep the range up over the years, and he's very keen to help with Appleseed! HUZZAH!!
Many thanks to rbwatson and backtrack9 for their excellent instruction!
