Title: Lincoln, NE November 5, 2016

The November 5, 2016 One Day Appleseed Clinic at the Lincoln Nebraska Izaak Walton was scene to a good time had by all. Six participants brought the right attitude and were attentive to instruction throughout the day. Four of the attendees were return shooters, with two others who did remarkably well for their first time out. One of the new shooters had little to no rifle experience and was able to quickly pick up on the concepts of proper loop sling usage, and natural point of aim. She even demonstrated her ability to nearly clean a red coat (and probably would have done so had she fired on each target three times instead of two!).

Being that this was a one day shoot, time was of the essence. The instructor team including Bakeneko, Vette73, and SisaLee81 excelled at moving the shoot along. Originally our goal was to get two AQTs in, but instead we made it to three!

Bakeneko put in the hard work of delivering all three strikes and did so from the perspective of a regular, Sgt. Hubert Smythe of the Light Infantry Company, 4th Infantry Regiment (the King's Own). This was a unique experience.

And worthy of a Huzzah! Moment, we made a new rifleman. One participant drove 2.5 hours to earn his rifleman patch. Congratulations!
