Title: Kearneyville, WV October 1 (1 Day Event)
Post by: Eroyle on October 01, 2016, 10:52:29 PM
A total of 13 shooters came out to learn more about Marksmanship and American History on a wet and soggy day in Kearneysville, WV.   The final event for 2016.  The 2017 events for Leetown Gun Club have been posted.

Saturday (1 Day event), we started slowly as many of the shooters were handling a rifle for the first time.  We were challenged with obtaining good enough groups to make sufficient sighting adjustments however, learning the basics and safe rifle handling was very important.

All shooters put forth a solid effort all day.  Bobby H. re-qualified with a 210 and 219 and also accepted an orange hat HUZZHA!   Bobby H. we look forward to working with you in the near future.

Double A Ron delivered the 3 strikes and students were attentive to the stories and instruction throughout the day.  Excellent group and I'm positive that we will see many of these fine young people again!

Maryland Instructor Team, you guys did an outstanding job all weekend working with the students!  Thank you ABCGARAND, SonofaVeteran and Double A Ron for your continued support and instruction.  Everyone had an enjoyable experience and most importantly a safe weekend.  Thank you Leetown Gun Club we really appreciate your support of Project Appleseed.

To all the students we hope to see you at another Appleseed event soon and bring a friend, co-worker or family member.  Remember to "Like" us on Facebook - Project Appleseed Maryland and Project Appleseed West Virginia.

Just wanted to say thanks to all the instructors that came out on a dreary, wet day. This was my first Appleseed and I was very impressed. I'm looking forward to my next one and maybe getting a rifleman patch. If not, I'm sure my skills will improve, which of course is what's most important.
Again, THANK YOU for putting on a wonderful event.

Congrats, Bobby H, on both your Rifleman and Orange Hat. As you move forward, learning to teach and assist, I hope that you have some of the same experiences that I have had. The more I teach, the more I learn.   O0
