KD Worland 02/03July2016

Saturday in Worland: weather was in the 80's with some breeze.  A brief rain squall on Sunday cooled things down.  Generally delightful.
We had only one shooter show.  Gary from Billings knew what he was doing, having previously shot  Rifleman at Worland, however his rifle did not.  Trigger issues on Sunday put a stop to his upward scores at this event.  We took advantage of the situation to introduce him to running the line.  He did accept an Orange Hat and will be a great addition to the Montana roster.  Thanks for stepping up, Gary. Now pick a screen name and signup on the forum!
There was lots of instruction since we had rocket, pewpewpew, raggedyedge, Marathongirl and Wildman57 who all helped instruct.  Thank you, guys (and gal).
Just as last year, we did not utilize the pits with so few shooting.  We could post 3 targets at 100, 200, 300 and 400, and this allowed us to shoot under cover and save the time moving.  In fact the range had just put up fresh bullseyes for coming competition and preferred that we not shoot them.  Sunday, we took a break from paper to shoot steel all the way to 750 yards and with help from spotters, some were doing quite well at that range.  The wind came up and emphasized the differences between 25M and KD!
To sum up: an enjoyable & safe shoot.  Thank you all.
Thanks to Tom and Nick and the Worland Shooting Complex for hosting us.  The only range in Wyoming (that we have access to) with actual pits.  Notice the distance signs on the right are yards from the pits, and the black steel above the pits is 750 from the firing line.  Anyone in the vicinity should join up.
