It was a terrific weekend of marksmanship and heritage, with 8 shooters on the line Saturday, and 6 on Sunday.
Saturday revealed Jason as a new Rifleman at his second AS event, with a 221 - great job, Jason!
And Sunday, Michael C gave himself and his proud dad a great Father's Day gift, earning his Rifleman patch on the very last AQT - huzzah!
A great and productive time was had by all, despite bursts of heavy wind and rain. Michael, Tim, and Louis made big strides during their first AS - hope to see you guys on the line at the next shoot! Ted and Logan returned to the line Saturday, and Ted continues to move in towards a Rifleman patch (207, this weekend). Practice and persevere, gentlemen!
And of course, many heartfelt thanks to MrPete, Smoakingun, and CableGuy for turning to and making this a great shoot!
Sounds like it was a great shoot and that you were able to deal with the weather fairly well.
Update 06/25/2016
Our newest Rifleman (Michael) was seen putting his skills to work! Michael was accepted into the CFRPC Smallbore program and was seen punching the x-rings out of targets. The CFRPC Smallbore program has been the start for several All-Americans and at least one Olympian. It is satisfying to watch the future take shape. Geo can be very proud of his son and I am honored I got to spend last weekend with them.
