Title: Great Lakes Region - # of Sell Outs Contest
Post by: DrRichP on March 03, 2016, 12:52:47 PM
Oh Boy,

We have a clear cut LOSER! Illinois is the only state in our region with out a sell out. I am just befuddled ... and evidently, so is Illinois because they can't seem to put one in the WIN column.

You guy's let Janir whoop your ass and kick dirt on you? Fella's come on, where's your pride?

Other SC's please take this opportunity to lay it on thick while you have the chance, because I know Laredo would if he were winning.

Ok, I was a bit disheartened that I've only got one sell out in IN, but looking this over I'm the same as the rest of ya and I've only got 3 total events so by scheduled capacity... I'm a FULL 1/3 SOLD OUT of my events in Indiana!
And I'm actually over sold at Elwood by 2 to boot... :-P

Wow. While Guntuckian drew first blood this year selling out Knob Creek, perenial powerhouse Wisconsin has started to pull away from the pack with it's second sellout this year, leaving everyone else with 1 (except of course for Illinois who is still sitting on their goose egg). It make this sportscaster wonder if anyone can help Illinois find their way to a sell out. ::) I guess there's a reason they make short buses.

And then it happened. Illinois got the stink off the state and now has a sell out. Great job team IL. I think you'll find you like having sold out events.

Nevertheless, Martin has still set the bar, leading the pack with 2 sell outs. I wounder who is going to challenge for the lead? Who will be happy to eat dust? Can Michigan find a win this year? Let's see what happens.

Title: Michigan STRIKES BACK ... but Wisconsin Counter Punches!
Post by: DrRichP on April 14, 2016, 01:42:12 PM
Steel Thunder and ITB have struck another blow selling out their second event in Watervliet, MI April 16-17, 2016 sending a clear message to Wisconsin and the rest of the region that they are a force to be reckoned with.

And just like that Wisconsin slaps back with it's third sell out (Racine, WI  May 21-22, 2016) and their darn close to having their 4th sell out in Lodi, WI April 16-17, 2016 (35/36).

You should have heard Martin's voice as he gloated with laughter  ;D when he told me.  Snatching victory from MI. "Oh the humanity ..." :'(

Can anyone stop Wisconsin? Who has the guts to make a challenge? Will Michigan take this lying down? Will another challenger to the throne cast out the usurper's? Stay tuned! Same bat-time. Same bat-channel.

Post by: DrRichP on April 15, 2016, 10:20:07 AM
I told you Wisconsin was close to having a fourth sell out. We'll they've done it. Thirty-six spots sold out in Lodi, WI April 16-17, 2016. Yup, nothing wrong with the size of Martin's hands.

Wisconsin has been fast out of the gate racking up 4 sell outs in the first third of the year, but Corvette says slow and steady wins the race. I'd love to know what Michigan says, but they've been stifled ... momentarily. Let's not forget IN, KY, and IL. Any one could stage a come back.

Well done Team Wisconsin! and Well done so far for Team Great Lakes. Keep up the great work, it is very much appreciated!

Post by: DrRichP on April 26, 2016, 09:12:25 AM
Just when MI was feeling safe in second place and planning their strategy to take the lead from WI, Ohio let's them know they think MI is easy prey, scoring their second sell out of the year and tieing it up.

The race heats up. How will MI answer? Will they answer, or fold up like a cheap suit? Perhaps there will be another challenger to the thrown?

Stay tuned readers, this is just starting to get interesting.

Well done Team Ohio! Keep up the great work!

Title: Kentucky Strikes Back!
Post by: DrRichP on May 24, 2016, 03:58:20 PM
Just when it looked like there may be no stopping the WI empire, Kentucky Strikes Back. Kentucky scored first blood with the first sell out of our region. Martin and team Wisconsin responded by selling out 4 events. Most impressive!

Now, Kentucky has sold out 2 more events bringing its total this year to 3; but wait, there's more. They also have a 36 person waiting list. They have decided to double their capacity for 2 upcoming events. Gary asks if he has a double sell-out, will it be counted as 2?  Hmmm, I'd have to say yes. So the Guntuckian may be looking at 5. And the hits just keep rolling, Guntuckian's event in Jackson, KY September 10-11, 2016 is ALMOST sold out (21/24), which could make it 6.

How will WI react? Does IL even know there's a contest going on? Steel Thunder and the MI folks are like a spring under tension ready to pop. Ohio poised for a comeback, and Indiana is also gaining momentum with a lot of new ranges on the horizon and a lot of new shooters pledged.

Stay tuned boys and girls, it's just getting interesting

Title: AND IT'S ALL TIED UP AT THE HALFWAY POINT- # of Sell Outs Contest
Post by: DrRichP on May 27, 2016, 03:23:32 PM
And it's all tied up!

You read it right. Team Kentucky has SOLD OUT Jackson, KY September 10-11, 2016. They have tied it up at 4 each for Wisconsin and Kentucky; however, Kentucky is working on double sell-outs for 2 of their Knob Creek events. This could spell disaster for Martin and team Wisconsin.

Not to be outdone, team Wisconsin is at 31/35 in Racine, WI June 11-12, 2016. A couple of weeks left to sell just 4 spots. Can they do it, or will they choke? Martin says his team will be the first to sell out 5 in the Great Lakes Region.

Meanwhile Team Ohio is sneaking up the back steps with 20/26 sold Liberty Center, OH June 4-5, 2016. We could be looking at their next sell out.

The tension is so thick we can cut it with a knife. Who has the pride and know-how to take it all. Let's see as the titans battle it out.

Title: Team Wisconsin Counter Punches! - # of Sell Outs Contest
Post by: DrRichP on May 30, 2016, 11:19:17 PM
The battle is not over! Martin and Team Wisconsin have counter punched Guntuckian and Team Kentucky by selling out Racine, WI June 11-12, 2016. That puts them ahead … barely. They've now raised the ceiling for the Racine event and are prepared to run relays just as Kentucky is doing in Knob Creek.

However, Kentucky is well poised to DOUBLE SELL-OUT Knob Creek, KY September 10-11, 2016 with only 13 spots to sell in the next 3 months (31/44).

One thing is clear as the battle rages on, and that is IN and IL are at the concession stand sucking down hot dogs. I hope they get back and get in the game. God help us all.

Well done Martin and Team Wisconsin, and to all of our Great Lakes Teams. We're rocking this out first half of the year, now let's kick it into high gear in the final home stretch.

Team Kentucky is working on getting several more new venues on the schedule for this year.  Also, we have started a new challenge, too.  Namely, we have now had two events at Boaz where we discovered 100% Riflemen present with their Kentucky rifles among the participants.  Quality has a number all its own!

Also, Team Kentucky has been making considerable progress in farming new indoor ranges for Appleseeds and Pistolseeds, too. When the rest of you go dormant with winter, Team Kentucky will be indoors, toasty and warm, minting new Patriots.  It's gonna be great!

And, the demand at Jackson, KY is growing, too.  Can we run relays there, too?  Time will tell!

Indiana Comes Alive. Who is Peter Frampton?  ???

Yes, Janir and Team Indiana have just scored their second sell out for the year at Evansville October 22-23, 2016 threatening to overtake MI and OH while simultaneously leaving Illinois dead last in the region.

Has anyone checked the heart monitor in Illinois? Are they still alive? Are they on life support? Do I need to call the time of death?
Hello, Illinois, are you out there? … [crickets]  :(

HOLY CARP, Indiana isn't done yet.

In addition to just selling out another event, in Evansville, Janir and Team Indiana have just signed up a new range (Deer Creek Conservation Club of Grant County in Jonesboro, IN) and have posted  a new AS event for August  13 & 14 2016 too!

Janir just seems to be kicking more dirt on Illinois as he laughs his tush off. **)

Will Illinois respond? Can they respond?  :slap: Who is next on Janir's list? ???

Stay tuned to see the battle rage on in the later rounds. :pop:

Seriously, great job Team Indiana. We (especially your Great Lakes Region SC teammates) are all proud to see you rebuilding a great Appleseed tradition in Indiana. Keep up the good work!

Yes, I went there. :slap:

What can I say, there seems to be a blood bath coming. Corvette and Team Ohio are getting ready to open up a can of whoop a$$ on the rest of the region. This could be all she wrote. $$-0

Adding to the 2 sell outs they already have, Ohio has another 5 events that are on the verge of being SOLD OUT

•   Piqua June 18-19, 2016 (18/22),  only4 spots left
•   Wilmington July 16-17, 2016 (20/24), only 4 spots left with more than a month to go
•   Marion July 30-31, 2016 18/20), only 2 spots left with more than a month to go
•   Vienna August 6-7, 2016 (17/25), 8 spots left with more than 2 months to go
•   Wilmington October 29-30, 2016 (17/22), 5 spots left with more than 3 months to go

Five more sell-outs and Team Ohio is firmly in the lead. We may have to start calling it the Buckeye Region if that happens. :))

I hope the rest of the states in the region have plans to keep Ohio from being supreme. Don't fade out in the back stretch boys, there's plenty of Appleseed still left to play. The best of the best hasn't been decided yet.

Michigan, stop drinking the water in Flint and get back into this.
Illinois, the light at the end of the tunnel is not an oncoming train. Go to the light.

Be creative folks, pull out all the stops. Your state's pride is on the line. Win for your state! O0

Post by: DrRichP on June 15, 2016, 07:46:05 PM
The Buckeye Offensive has begun!

We saw it coming. Team Ohio has sold out Piqua, June 18-19, 2016, AND Marion, July 30-31, 2016.

Corvette and his team tell me Wilmington in two weeks only needs 2 more to sellout.

Look at this:
•  Wilmington July 16-17, 2016 (22/24), only 2 spots left
•  Vienna August 6-7, 2016 (17/25), only 8 spots left
•  Gibsonburg, OH October 22-23, 2016 (10/30) 1/3rd sold out already.
•  Wilmington October 29-30, 2016 (18/22), only 4 spots left

They are poised to rack up an astonishing 8 sell outs this year.

"Take that Kentucky! Wisconsin ... you're next!" says Corvette.

Folks, don't get run over by a Corvette. There will be no living with him. Make something happen. Please! :sos:

Wisconsin Responds to the challenge!

Just when it was looking good for Ohio to pull ahead in the contest, Wisconsin says Badgers eat Buckeyes and Blue Grass. They've added another sell out to their impressive list. Racine, WI August 20-21, 2016 is SOLD OUT boosting them to 6 sell out for the year.

Can Kentucky come back? Can Ohio keep their momentum and take it from all the other states? Can Illinois recover from the coma their in? :-[ We'll see.

Well, Janir and Team Indiana have responded. They've sold out LaPorte, IN July 9-10, 2016 leaving Michigan and Illinois in the dirt and setting their sights on Ohio and Kentucky.

Can the 'strong' Michigan cadre stage a comeback?

Will Prince Charming kiss Illinois and awake them from their eternal slumber? Stay tuned.

Title: Ohio Threatens! - # of Sell Outs Contest
Post by: DrRichP on July 04, 2016, 10:33:18 AM
Yes, Ohio has broken the chains that bound them to Kentucky with 4 sell-outs each to emerge with 5 sold out events adding Wilmington, OH July 16-17, 2016 to their list of sell our successes.

Now they are just one sell out away from tying it up with Wisconsin, and two away from taking sole possession of first place ... and they can do it. Vienna, OH August 6-7, 2016 (20/25) and Wilmington, OH October 29-30, 2016 (20/22) are close, as well as a few others.

Can Wisconsin score another sell out to maintain the lead? Can Kentucky come back and show that Buckeyes are no better than Blue Grass? What about Indiana? Michigan may not be out of this yet, Watervliet, MI October 15-16, 2016 is already 2/3rds sold out with plenty of time left on the clock.

Corvette says it doesn't matter what any of them try, 'resistance is futile'. Great team effort.

This is like watching NASCAR, can't wait to see who wins, and with morbid curiosity we can't wait to see who crashes and burns. Still plenty of race left. Good luck all.

Title: Re: WE GOT A REAL PRESSURE COOKER GOING HERE! - # of Sell Outs Contest
Post by: DrRichP on July 12, 2016, 07:32:18 PM
"There's the windup, and there it is, a line shot up the middle Look at him go. This boy can really fly! He's rounding first and really turning it on now, he's not letting up at all, he's gonna try for second; the ball is bobbled out in center, and here comes the throw, and what a throw! He's gonna slide in head first ..."

Okay, I may be a Meatloaf fan. I'm definitely a Scooter fan; and I'm a fan of Ohio now as well.

Team Ohio has just SOLD OUT ANOTHER APPLESEED in Vienna. This brings them tied with Wisconsin and puts them on top of the score board; but they're not done!  Corvette writes (and I quote): "Look out, we got another one.  Knock, knock Wisconsin, don't look over your shoulder.   ;D. Got my eye on a couple more that we plan to push over the line as well.  We ain't done yet."

What can I say?  ???

"This kid really makes things happen out there. Batter steps up to the plate, here's the pitch-he's going, and what a jump he's got He's trying for third, here's the throw, it's in the dirt-safe at third! Holy cow, stolen base!"

Hmm. How will Martin and team Wisconsin respond?

Is there still time for Kentucky to stage a come back?

"He's taking a pretty big lead out there, almost daring him to try and pick him off. The pitcher glances over, winds up, and it's bunted, bunted down the third base line, the suicide squeeze is on! Here he comes, squeeze play, it's gonna be close, here's the throw, here's the play at the plate. Holy Cow!"

Laredo in Illinois says they're planning to kick dirt on Michigan pretty soon. We'll see. :pop:

How is this going to turn out?

"Let me sleep on it. Baby, baby, let me sleep on it. I'll give you an answer in the morning."

If you thought Michigan was down and out, you thought wrong. They've tied it up with Indiana and have their sights set on taking down Kentucky on their way to the top of the leader board.

Team Michigan has just sold out a big venue (40 person line) at Sturgis on August 12-13, 2016. With this big success they have momentum and their hungry. Now they're looking at Fenton, on August 27-28, 2016, and Watervliet, October 15-16, 201 (Only 2 spots left).

Will Kentucky be able to get something going and hold them off? Will Wisconsin be able to fend off the ensuing onslaught? SteelThunder and ITB tell me they have the best team in the Great Lakes and they're ready to show it.

Is Illinois still alive? Are they on Life-Support? Someone please cut off their supply of propofol!!  :'(

Title: And The Stars Keep Falling! - # of Sell Outs Contest
Post by: DrRichP on August 15, 2016, 12:12:46 PM
Yes, both Indiana and Ohio have SOLD OUT events this last weekend.

Sell Out mammoth Ohio has stretched their lead over Wisconsin by scoring another Sell Out! They've sold out Marion, OH on October 29-30, 2016; but they're not done! Corvette says he really wants to let all the other states know Ohio is the greatest in the Great Lakes Region. Piqua, OH on August 20-21, 2016 only has 4 spots left and they're looking to make it 9 sell outs for the year, maybe 10 or more.

Team Ohio was just at Annual Ohioan's for Concealed Carry's Picnic in the Park looking to sell out more events.

Indiana has (as Janir and Team Indiana threatened) tied it up with Kentucky (who seem to be floundering) by selling out Indianapolis, IN October 22-23, 2016. They also have a lead on another new range. They continue to grow as part of their rebuilding efforts.

Am I to conclude Hoosier's eat Blue Grass? Hmm.  ???

Janir says Team Indiana is going to sell out LaPorte, IN September 10-11, 2016 (which only has 6 spots left) to stomp Kentucky down as it takes aim on Wisconsin. It might be time for Kentucky to get out their Pennsylvania Long Rifles and start fighting their way back to the top of the leader board. ::)

What about perennial powerhouse Wisconsin? They've been quiet as Martin and Team WI regroup; but they've got things in-the-works. River Falls, WI on October 8-9, 2016 only has 2 spots left. Martin and Team say Eagle/McMiller, WI October 8-9, 2016 and Racine, WI October 15-16, 2016 may also sell out to put them at 9, and maybe more. Can they mount a comeback, or are we watching Bunker Hill happen? I'd much rather be watching Saratoga happen.

In Illinois, Chewie has come out of the witness protection program. He called me last week. He says if IL can't beat MI, he'll shave his beard. #) Callin' you out Michigan. :cool2:

Man this is a LOT of fun! I can't tell you how proud I am for the teams of each state and the SC's. O0 You're doing a great job and I'm going to ask you to keep up the great work and let's finish this year strong. I'm really interested in seeing how who will finish on top and set the tone for the rest of the region, a lot of state pride is on the line.

Most interesting statistics.  Normalized simply by the number of sellouts, the ranking is (1-6):  OH, WI, KY, IN, MI, and IL.  However, normalized by sellouts per million of population, the ranking instead becomes (1-6) WI, KY, OH, IN, MI, and IL.

WI is hitting, in terms of sellouts per million of population statewide, 104x10^-8 at first position, versus KY at number 2 with 90x10^-8, OH at number 3 with 69x10^-8, IN at number 4 with 60x10^-8, MI at number 5 at 30x10^-8, and IL at 8x10^-8.

Meanwhile, KY is punching above its weight class, with strong possibilities for achieving 2 more sell-outs through October.

Wow. ^-^  Team Ohio just sold out Piqua on August 20-21, 2016 in an attempt to stretch their lead over Wisconsin. An amazing effort by an amazing team!

But, just when they thought they were pulling away from the Badger State, Wisconsin says "Not so fast"! Wisconsin sells out River Falls on October 8-9, 2016 keeping the Buckeye lead at two. :wb:

Martin, and team Wisconsin, threaten Eagle/McMiller, WI October 8-9, 2016 is going to sell out as are a couple more events. He vows Wisconsin will finish the year in the number one spot. :cool2:

But wait! Ohio answers again by selling out Piqua, on October 22-23, 2016. This leads them into double-digit sell out territory! ^:)^ Now they take a 10-3 lead over Wisconsin.

Keep up the good work folks! We're entering the home stretch. Now's when we'll find out who is the best state in the Great Lakes Region in Appleseed.  :pop:

KY now has a double sell-out at Knob Creek!  The first of the year!  Most interesting statistics.  Normalized simply by the number of sellouts, the ranking is (1-6):  OH, WI, KY, IN, MI, and IL.  However, normalized by sellouts per million of population, the ranking instead now becomes (1-6) WI, KY, OH, IN, MI, and IL.

WI is hitting, in terms of sellouts per million of population statewide, 121x10^-8 at first position, versus KY at number 2 with 113x10^-8, OH at number 3 with 86x10^-8, IN at number 4 with 60x10^-8, MI at number 5 at 30x10^-8, and IL at 8x10^-8.

Meanwhile, KY is still punching above its weight class, with strong possibilities for achieving yet another sell-out through October, for our KD at Park City, KY.  It's a good year for Liberty in the Great Lakes Region!

Hold on just one gosh darn second.

I had this shoot see. Sept. 10&11 in LaPorte. Had 19 out of 25 preregs.
Range CXLD the date. Scuzzy had another signup as he canceled it online.
Club had assured me that it would have sold out as they have pent up demand.

Ergo I claim an Indiana sellout for this canceled event. We did our part.

Nope, 19 out of 25 preregs does not a sell out make. :-\ I appreciate your efforts though. Indiana only has one event left that is not sold out, Nappanee, September 24-25, 2016. Maybe you guys can sell out this one and show you're better than Kentucky. Good luck.

Wow. ^-^  Team Kentucky scoring the DOUBLE SELL OUT!

They couldn't get another date so they doubled the line by running relays and scored a double sell out. Very impressive!  ^:)^

Team Kentucky once again takes the lead from Janir and Team Indiana. Team Indiana's last chance seems to be Nappanee, September 24-25, 2016.

But wait, there's more. If Team Kentucky can get just 4 more to Boaz, on August 27-28, 2016, and just 4 more to Paducah on October 1-2, 2016, they can rack up 7 and tie team Wisconsin.
Oh my ...  :slap:

??? Uh oh, Team Michigan smells blood in the water. They only need 2 more to sell out Watervliet, on October 15-16, 2016 and tie it up with Team Indiana. ITB, Number 6, and Steel Thunder tell me Indiana is going down! &) They talk the talk, but can they walk the walk?  ::)

As it comes down to the wire, everybody is pouring it on. I can't wait to see this sure to be 'Photo Finish'. Good luck my friends!

ITB, Number 6, and Steel Thunder are celebrating while setting their sights on Kentucky who they also say is going down. ??? They have plenty of good opportunities left to do it too, Niles on September 10-11, 2016 and Fenton on October 1-2, 2016.

Can Team Kentucky can get just 4 more to Boaz, on August 27-28, 2016, or just 4 more to Paducah on October 1-2, 2016, to fend off Team Michigan?

Can Team Indiana sell out Nappanee, September 24-25, 2016 to once again tie it up with Michigan or will they loose?  :'(

Janir needs to stop dreaming about his Mandalorian armor and the mouse, and rally his team to victory in Nappanee.

Title: Can Anyone Stop Ohio? Great Lakes Region - # of Sell Outs Contest
Post by: DrRichP on September 06, 2016, 11:58:53 AM
Team Ohio does it again!  They've just sold out Coshocton, on September 10-11, 2016 and are now working on selling out Liberty Center on September 24-25, 2016 (20/24).

Team Michigan has SOLD OUT Niles on September 10-11, 2016 bringing them tied with Kentucky. Now they look to surpass Kentucky with a sell out at Lapeer on September 17, 2016 and Fenton on October 1-2, 2016

All,

I just wanted to step back for a moment and share an observation or two and congratulate everyone in the region on the number of sell outs/shooters that we are bringing to the line in 2016.  If you go back two or three years, we were cancellling shoots due to zero pre-regs and doing shoots for just a couple of shooters.  What a magnificent difference in 2016.  Count them up, we have a chance to sell out 40-50 shoots in the region this year.  Think about that -- 40+ sold out shoots -- now pat yourself on the back for a job VERY well done.

And, let's give credit where credit is due.  I personally would like to thank DrRichP for taking the Regional Coordinator role seriously and for bringing a sense of excitement, urgency, motivation and fun to everybody's individual state challenges.  Three huzzah's for DrRich

I feel humbled to be a part of such a dedicated regional team.  Pew pew Merica  O0  Thank you for having me.

Title: Wisconsin says "We're not done yet!" Great Lakes Region - # of Sell Outs Contest
Post by: DrRichP on September 08, 2016, 03:43:37 PM
Wisconsin says "We're not done yet!"

In an effort to regain their lead in the region Wisconsin has added another date to their calendar (and this idea is exceptional). They have added a 1-Day special "Frozen Chosin" Winterseed and invited the Young Marines, Active Duty Marines, and surrounding Marine Corps League Detachments (as well as the public) to join them in honoring "The Chosin Few"

Check this out from Team Wisconsin

The Frozen Chosin

The Battle of Chanjin (pronounced Chosin) Reservoir, was a decisive battle in the Korean War. On 27 November, 1950, during the coldest winter North Korea had experienced in 100 years, approximately 15,000 thousand U.N. forces were in pursuit of North Korean troops, when they were surprised by China's entry into the Korean War and surrounded by 120,000 Chinese soldiers.

The U.N. forces, most of them U.S. Marines from the 1st Marine Division, fought for survival. A brutal 17-day battle in subfreezing weather soon followed. In that period, troops (later nicknamed "The Chosin Few") were encircled and attacked by Chinese troops who had been ordered by Mao Zedong to destroy the forces; but the Chinese did not achieve their goal of isolating and destroying the 1st Marine Division.

Surrounded and outnumbered 8-to-1 by the Chinese, the Marines embarked upon a 78-mile journey to the Sea of Japan to reconnect with American forces. The journey would take 13 days. Cut off from support, the Marines broke out of the encirclement and made a fighting withdrawal through 10 Chinese infantry divisions, while inflicting crippling losses on the Chinese.

The courage shown by the Marines and sailors at the Chosin Reservoir was an example of their resolve to fight against what seemed like impossible odds. The attitude of those who served at the "Frozen Chosin" set an example that is still remembered by Marines and sailors both young and old.

It is adversity that demands valor, and trial that demonstrates the highest levels of brotherhood. The Marines at the Chanjin Reservoir, pulled together to insure the success of the withdrawal.  What many people might have considered to be the darkest two weeks in Marine Corps history, may have in fact, become the Marine Corp's DEFINING MOMENT. With their backs to the wall, the men of the 1st Marine Division pulled together to accomplish the impossible.  Their teamwork cemented a band of brothers who came to call themselves "The Chosin Few"

On December 4th, Project Appleseed remembers and honors the valor and courage of the "Chosin Few" with a special Appleseed at Racine County Line Rifle Club. We invite everyone, and especially Marines (young and old), to come join us. Anyone one who scores Rifleman at this event will be awarded a special "frozen" Rifleman badge in honor of the "Chosin Few". We hope to see you there!

Now I have to admit, this is darn creative. I am not going to encourage the other states in the region to copy this ^-^, but what an idea!

Whether or not this becomes another sell out, kudos go to Brightsparc and team WI for coming up with this!  O0

Title: Team Ohio seems unstoppable! Great Lakes Region - # of Sell Outs Contest
Post by: DrRichP on September 12, 2016, 02:27:24 PM
Team Ohio just sold out Gibsonburg, OH October 22-23, 2016 and are 2 away from a sell out in Liberty Center on September 24-25, 2016 (22/24). This puts them at 12 for the year and they can score a bakers dozen within days. After that the only event in Ohio not sold out for the rest of the year will be Newark on October 1-2, 2016, and even that may be a sell out too. TREMENDOUS!

Team Michigan is 1 away from a sell out at Fenton on October 1-2, 2016 to overtake Kentucky. Michigan has some great opportunities coming up in Lapeer on September 17 (5/10) and Holland on October 22-23 (25/32).

Meanwhile, Kentucky is 6 away from a sell out in Paducah, on October 1-2 looking to fight off Michigan's attack. They also have a great opportunity to sell out a KD event in Park City, on October 8-9, 2016

Janir and Team Indiana only have 1 event through the end of the year that is not a sell out, Nappanee on September 24-25. Last chance for an Appleseed in Indiana.

Team Wisconsin has been adding additional events to their schedule are working on possibilities in Racine, Eagle, and River Falls.

"It ain't over 'til it's over"

Hats off to all teams, you've made this year a huge success. Keep up the great work!

Title: Re: OHIO DOES IT AGAIN! Great Lakes Region - # of Sell Outs Contest
Post by: DrRichP on September 19, 2016, 12:37:44 PM
Team Ohio has now SOLD OUT Liberty Center on September 24-25, 2016. An awesome accomplishment from an awesome team!

Team Michigan is still just 3 away from a sell out at Fenton on October 1-2, 2016, and has a great opportunity coming up in Holland on October 22-23 (30/32), with just 2 spots left. This would put out them ahead of Kentucky and challenge Wisconsin for their spot on the leadership board.

Team Kentucky seems to have stalled at 5 away from a sell out in Paducah, on October 1-2, and 6 away from a sell out in Park City, on October 8-9, 2016. I hope they can come out of the doldrums they are in.

Martin and Team Wisconsin are looking for a sell out at McMiller on October 8-9, and they tell me there is a lot of buzz about not only their October Racine event which will likely conclude in a Sell Out, but also a lot of buzz about their Special "Frozen Chosin" event in December that they also expect to be sold out. Will it be enough to catch Ohio?

Keep up the great work teams, let's finish strong!

WOW! It is getting crazy here at the end.

Michigan has gone on a tear! Selling out 3 more events bringing them up to EIGHT.

Wisconsin, not to be beaten by Michigan, has also just sold out Racine October 15-16 ×2, for a DOUBLE SELL OUT.

Ohio has raised the ceiling on their Piqua and Marion events to accommodate more people. Corvette says Team Ohio will figure out a way to fit them all in.

With not enough events left in the other states, it looks like this has become a 3 way race for the lead! Who will lead this region, Michigan, Ohio, or Wisconsin. State pride is on the line!!  :cool2:

Great News! Illinois sold out Bonfield, on October 15-16, 2016 adding another Sell Out to their tally. Great job by Sis and Team Illinois! Outstanding work.  O0

I don't know if anyone can catch Ohio in 1st place, but the battle for second place rages on.

Team Michigan Sold Out 3 events in October to bring them to 8 thus far.

Martin himself went down to Racine in southern Wisconsin and shoot bossed a Double Sell Out in Racine bringing them to 9 for the year.

Michigan has 2 more events for the year, Lapeer on November 12-13, 2016, and Lapeer, on December 3, 2016; so they have chances to get 2 more sell outs this year. Meanwhile Wisconsin has 1 more event this year.

Who will be victorious?  :cool2:
