A cold and blustery day greeted 8 dedicated Americans willing to brave the cold and learn more about the history of our country, develop new marksmanship skills, and participate in a bonafide WINTERSEED.Everyone had a great, teachable attitude, and everyone showed improvement over the course of the day. We had to deal with gusting winds that literally tore down our target backings, but we pressed on thanks to a dedicated Maryland instructor cadre. Hats off to the instructors that overcame the elements and made for what will sure to be, a long remembered Appleseed. By the way, we had wind chills of 0-5 below at times today. Congratulations go out to Simon for earning the much coveted WINTERSEED Rifleman patch! Proof that a Rifleman persists!
I've worked some cold events in the past, but this one was brutal! Many thanks for the students and VOLS who endured the frigid temps!!!   BeSwift
