Post by: VietVet on November 02, 2015, 05:03:12 PM
Not certain which was the correct area on this forum to post this so if in the wrong area Mods please move.

Green Light A Vet is a program to Recognize, Honor, Thank and Remember our Vets.

I'm finding out not too many are aware of this program.

So here's an FYI.........................

My first thought was "where the heck does one find a green outdoor floodlight bulb?"  But a quick search reveals that apparently, everybody's got 'em this year.

Doesn't have to be a flood light. A simple 60 watt bulb will do.

Standard bulbs are easy to find, the ones with candelabra base are a lot harder. and $$$. Still can be found online, though.

Green holiday plastic wrap over my outdoor LED porch lights works great.

Nobody can see my porch since I'm in the sticks so I guess I'm OK.

I did however:

Bring one of my friends, a former marine, with me to an  Appleseed this last weekend. Loaned him a rifle and gave him ammo.

I've got my next door neighbor, retired Army, invited to feast on Turkey and drink beer tomorrow. He lives alone and enjoys getting out.
