It was an excellent weekend for shooting. It was still a bit on the warm side, but it was nothing compared to the summer time. We got some rain Sunday morning, but it did nothing more than settle the dust which was greatly appropriated.
We had all new shooter this time, 12 in all. No one scored riflemen, but a few got close and can probably do it at their next Appleseed. But everyone had significant improvements. At the first Red Coat most of the shooters didn't even have the holes on the paper. But, by the end of the day Sunday there was a significant improvement. Everyone just needs to remembered what they learned and practice, practice, practice.
Congratulations to the three young ones who persevered and stuck it out both days.
