Title: Billings, MO Sept.12 one day event
Post by: connibear on September 16, 2015, 10:46:27 PM
Another great weekend at Springfield Benchrest Rifle Club. We had 17 students come out to engage those dirty old redcoats. We had our work cut out for us. Several young shooters as well as a few novice shooters. No riflemen were made but they took away the fundamentals of what it takes to get the job done.

We were also entreated to a reenactor who dressed up in period dress for lunch.  He had real flintlock and two other replicas, one of which was a brown bess. Thanks John.  O0

Due to this being a one day event we were pressed for time but we managed to get everything accomplished. One day event was due to the fact that I had church obligations to tend to, like going to church. I have come to the point that God, who is Jesus Christ, needs and must be uplifted at every event we do. If God is not the center of our lives and nation then we do not and cannot have Liberty and Appleseed is in vain. We may
talk of Liberty, freedom and being a self-governing nation, so then Christ MUST be placed at the helm of what we do. I have made this my mission for all the shoots that I SB, to make sure that everyone knows where true Liberty lies, and that is in a nation and a people who truly honor and fear Jesus Christ. May He receive the honour and glory for our feeble efforts.

Thanks to all the shooters who made this event happen and thanks to the instructors who were able to make it out.

Look forward to next year, as this venue will most likely be opened up to center fire.  ..:..

Good to see that this range is thinking about letting Appleseed use center fire, may increase attendance. I am also glad to see you are still keeping AS alive in MO, wish I could be there to help! As always the IC of MO is always in my prayers. Keep it in the x's
