I was given a Redding die I can't figure out what it's for. The markings are "Redding .308 WIN ST 3R". Anyone knows what it's used for?
.308 WIN is the caliber, ST 3R ???

From what I can tell, it's the seating die from a three part set, model 84155 or individual item 92155.
Right on Fixer, Called Redding this morning and it is a seater die. The part that was confusing to me is that the part that seats the bullet is a cylinder like shaft. It contacts the bullet at the ogive instead that at the tip.
