Title: IAAR, BOULDER RIFLE CLUB, CO 4/25/15-4/2615
Post by: Mellow Yellow on April 29, 2015, 12:47:59 AM
The Appleseed at the BRC range went off without a hitch.  Had  9 shooters come out and participate.  Event was posted only about 1 month prior so attendance was better than I anticipated.   The students did a great job and were very receptive to the instruction we provided.  There were 4 instructors present counting the shoot boos, we have worked together many times so it was pretty much a fluid dance.
Saturday we could not have asked for better weather, about 68-70 degrees and sunny all day.  Sunday was a different story all together.  It rained to beat the band all day long.   We were able to switch ranges and move over to a covered shoot line on the 25/50 yd range and set up there.  At least we could shoot under cover.  As time progressed, between going out to change targets and the continual deluge,  the shoot mats got pretty soggy, so did the shooters,  but not their spirits,  The students hung in there  like troopers and we even got 4 of the 9 that earned their Rifleman patches.  All in all a good shoot

Mike

Attached are pictures from the BRC shoot;  4 riflemen and a 13 year old girl names Alexis,  first time shooting, who hung in there all weekend and learned a lot and had a grans time.

One of the Riflemen you may recognize,  yes that's Michael Bane from the cable show "Shooting Galery".
