We had a small boy at our last shoot who was having troubles holding up his rifle. Decided to make this support to help him out. It is very easy to make, inexpensive, and has five different heights depending on how you orient it. (3.5", 4.5", 5.5", 6.5", and 7.5") Made it from a small piece of 1x6 and an even smaller piece of a 2x4. Add a small sand bag to create a soft interface and you are good to go.
It was amazing at how much this helped the boy. He gained a lot of confidence and was shooting remarkably small groups for a 10 year old. Definitely something to add to your equipment list to help out with the younger shooters.
