Good work, Florida!
What a nice article! I'd like to see similar ones in 100 papers and local news programs all over the country in 2015.
This is nice to see. Lord knows we "sell" a lot of rifles for the CMP. I must have filled out 1000 of the green forms myself. I don't know if they've done this before, but sure would like to see them do it more.
The article is a result of a press release that brung a reporter to an event at the Isaac Davis Memorial DAR, near Tallahassee, FL - purchased and built by the Tomblin family and friends - zero cost to the program. The woman in the lead picture is Lucki Lori, wife of Engineer shooting - the two most prolific instructors in the program (more than 30 events per year each in 2014).
ES will run the RBC at the home range next March, as he is applying for SI status to further increase his effectiveness in the program through running IBC, RBC, KD events and travel.
Promo has always been our weakest point and every little bit helps. Excellent events, run by excellent instructors bring in more students, which results in more instructors.
What you see here is a model for success. ES and family couldn't find a good venue in N FL, and so they created one at great personal expense and sacrifice. They couldn't afford advertising, so went outside of the box and did whatever they could. They were assisted by an attendee from another venue with press releases, which bore fruit.

Good to see CMP recognize appleseed. The two go together like peanut butter and jelly. :))
