It wasn't clear on the EventBrite page (or elsewhere) whether the distinction between Instructor and non-Instructor was as formal as the organizational definition; where Instructor = Red Hat or whether all levels of the instructor pipe-line were considered "Instructor."

I signed up as a non-Instructor to be safe.

I think instructor for IBCs include IIT and above. In either case, you are signed up and that is what matters. Look forward to meeting you in February (if not sooner).

Not that I expect you to remember, but we've met.  You were SB at my first AS in Port Townsend this past May.  We talked about the other Red Hat and I mentioned being on the receiving end of your other curriculum efforts.

Regardless, I'll be there with bells on.  I expect to have IIT3 under my belt before I get there but more experience can't hurt a bit.

Connection made. I didn't make the connection with your forum name.

The IBC will be extremely valuable. It is ideal to attend one when you are a brand-spanking-new(tm) IIT, but it provides a lot of value to all who attend, regardless of experience.

I will be there.

I'm not an instructor yet, but have decided that this is the year.

My first Appleseed was Worland in 2006, and I've been to two in Yakima.

Looking forward to meeting you all.

George, I can't seem to locate any discussion regarding food prep/sharing etc for the IBC coming in two days. Since I'm leaving home in the morning it would be good to have an idea what plan, if any, there is. Else I shall simply toss in comestibles of various sorts and improvise when hunger strikes. Or doesn't. I thought I remember you mentioning a thread started on the subject.

I just wanted to thank everyone who put in the time to prepare for and helped to run the IBC this weekend.   These are truly wonderful events in which best practices are shared amongst the NW instructor cadre.  I hope we can make this an annual event, as I always take away a lot of great information.

I agree, Prescott. Each year I have several new ideas that I take away from the IBC. We will have one next year for sure, and maybe one in the fall if we can recruit some new orange hats this spring and summer.

Thank you, Colycat, for coming out our way to run the event. And thanks to everyone who took the weekend to come learn new things and to be stretched out of their comfort zones.
