Does anyone have any experience (good or bad) with the MISO sight for an M1A?

Thanks!
Check the National Match Forums. There have been some.posts there.
I have one on my AR15 and I do like it. I would think the m14 version would be just as good. One caveat I learned, though. The MISO sight delivers a focused sight picture to your eye. If your corrected vision is good, the sight picture will be excellent.
What happened with me was when I got my MISO sight it was just kinda "okay". A trip to the eye doctor and I discovered my prescription had changed by half a diopter. With the new contact lenses my sight picture improved greatly. Apparently my slightly wrong prescription was effectively unfocusing the sight picture from the MISO sight, so make sure your distance vision is good and I thi I you'll like it.
Agrivere,
What front sight post size and aperture are you using with the MISO? I read somewhere that the MISO makes the post look fatter... Any truth to that in your experience?
How is the "eye relief " is that concept applies to it...?
I haven't noticed any difference in how the front sight post appears. I was using a 0.062" front sight post, and have just switched to a 0.072" front sight post, as the wider front sight generally results in better scores. Haven't shot a match yet with the 072 so I'll know more after Saturday.
The biggest thing I've noticed with the MISO sight is I can now see the target well enough to call shots out of the X ring. This is a good thing, but I'll admit at first it kinda freaked me out. With my old sights in slow prone every shot looked like an X when it left my gun, but some were 10's and some were 9's. With the new MISO sight I can actually see the difference between an X and a 10 or a 9, which is definitely a good thing, but it's kind of freaking me out, as I'm not yet totally used to it. Making me feel like my prone position is terrible, when the only thing that's really changed is I can now see when my sights are off by a much smaller margin.
Oh, and I can actually see the spotting disc at 600 yards now, which I could never see before. That's been a surprise too, as it's a bit distracting. :)
Eye relief with the MISO sight is a non issue, at least it has been for me. I don't think it's even relevant to this type of lens. Only caveat to watch for is sometimes in slow prone (hasn't happened at any other stage, just slow prone) when I'm looking through the spotting scope my breath falls very close to the sight, and it's had a tendency to fog up just a little bit. So I have to be careful not to breath on the sight on a chilly day.
Thanks! Looks like I'm going to give it a try :)
I have much difficulty using iron sights, because my vision causes a rifle's front sight to appear very blurry and sometime split (double vision). An Appleseeder friend (3Huzzahs) let me try his AR with a MISO insert in the rear sight... and WOW!... I could see the front sight so well, I actually could see the texture of the paint on the front sight post!! I believe he has a MISO on his M1 also, and I believe the results are the same.
Very impressive, and I have put one on my buy list.
