Title: Piqua OH 2014 November 1-2
Post by: DGMilty on November 09, 2014, 02:43:25 PM
Wow!!!  A full line again in Piqua!  SWEET

I would like to thank each and every one of the shooters (and Instructors) who made this great weekend possible.  And those who came for one day, I stressed that Saturday was the IMPORTANT day.  THANKS!!!

We started off the chilly but typical November day with our introduction to the day's schedule which consisted of our heritage, some great history, and even a little bit of shooting!  No setbacks as we were all prepared for the event!  Another THANK YOU!!!  Even with the new firing line setup which Shep came up with!  This turned out to be a BLESSING and one heck of a time saver when we did the Known Distance on Sunday!

A pleasure it was to see some previous Appleseeders, both from recently and years ago.  I appreciate those who stuck it out both days.  This is dedication!

Those first time shooters, you have heard the true story of April 19th 1775, a day which should be remembered, and a story which should continue to be told.  We must not forget the choices and sacrifices that our forefathers made for us.  As I said in the benediction, they fought so that we don't have to.  They only had the cartridge box.  They made the choice to fight for a cause they believed in so that we have a "soap box" and the ballot box.  I am hoping those of you who are of voting age expressed your civic duty this past week!

Those of you who shot the Rifleman score and ABOVE several times throughout the weekend are probably the ones who have what it takes who I'd like to see step up and join the program.  Please consider the offer.  We have a special weekend coming up in 2015.  The first time that April 19th will fall on a weekend again for several years.  We will be having lots of events across the country and we need your help!!!

Feel free to post your pictures.  I will try to get some here as well as time permits.  Hope to see you all very soon!

Sorry for the delay in getting this posted.  Been a BUSY week.  (better late than never I guess
