Congratulations to Rifleman Chris Huff who scored a healthy 221 on the AQT!
Beautiful fall weather and Appleseed are a great combination.
Thanks to all the instructors who volunteered their time for this event. To have someone take an active interest in my improvement as a marksmen is truly a humbling and enjoyable experience. To learn as much about marksmanship and part of the important history of part of our country from such passionate patriots was truly an honor.
I woke up sore this morning, but that's just my body getting used to the proper way to utilize my rifle for the best accuracy. Due to personal reasons I was unable to attend day two, but I am going to purchase some red coat targets for the range, practice proper technique for shooting stance at home, and I will be back for another event at a later date for more knowledge and hopefully my rifleman patch.
Thanks again.
The Bowie family persisted all weekend and showed great improvement! It's good to watch a family prepping mags together.
All shooters (and instructors) received instructions well.
An Instructor's hat fills in when the sun is in the shooters eyes.
Last time we were here the gnats would carry you off. This time the "goat heads" (cockleburrs) attached relentlessly.
It was a pleasure working with Everyone this weekend.
Thank you Volunteers for giving up your weekend. This event was excellent. I learned a lot about myself and have a list of things to work on. This is a very cool organization.
Thanks to TCGC for giving up the range for two days. Excellent facilities.

Two days later, still picking "goat heads" off me.
