Academy has been running a sale on Monach ammo in 7.62x39 $2.99 a box.
Monarch is Barnaul and in 7.62x39 it's good stuff.

I don't believe they ship ammo, but you can google them as I know they have a website.
I bought a case at my local store. This is some stuff that shoots good in my AKs as well.
No web sales. Too bad it's only on AK Ammo. I bought 1k to stock up and bring to AS.
I think the buyer at Academy is trying to get as much ammo into the hands of the people as fast as possible, since the sale ends December 27th.
Kind of like disbursing the powder and shot from the town magazines before the regulars arrive and take it all away. :)

No speculation as to whether their motivation is political. Maybe it's just a leader item to get people into the store. It worked with me, I bought a few other things when I went to get mine yesterday. There was no limit posted, and the cashier didn't blink when I checked out with my four cases (2K rounds).
