Another great shoot at Racine! While the weather left a little to be desired, we made up for it with grit and great attitudes! Of course we also had that toasty warm block house to warm up in while strikes were told! "There's no lettuce in adversity" Wise words from Chris! ;D
While we missed the Pattersons Saturday, the remaining six were attentive, fun and improved significantly, doubling their performance on the red coat by day's end. And six more Americans heard the story that all Americans should be told! Thanks Brightsparc and Flying Ferret for the first and the third!
Sunday brought better weather and a happy reunion with all our students, plus the Pattersons! AQTs, NPOA drills, Dangerous Old Men and some fun were the order of this day. I'd like to thank Marcin Malinowski, a Racine County Line Rifle Club member, for bringing out his flintlock, demonstrating it's operation and allowing Seth a shot. It's one thing to hear about musket fire, it's another to see it!
We had David, a previous rifleman, requalify multiple times :) I've got an orange hat set aside for you, you know that, right! And Seth, quit teasing. How many times are you going to shoot 206 in a row? Do I have to have DrRich speak to you? Seriously, you're there and I don't think the rest of your family is going to be far behind.
I'd like to thank my instructor staff for the great teamwork and dedication they show. And Sis, you tell a mean DOM. You're hired! Thanks for (previously) taking the orange hat! Tuge, great working with you for the first time and I expect to see you again!
Please leave pictures and comments below.
It was my pleasure to share the flint lock with you guys.
I'll make sure to bring it again, along with the Brown Bess.
Awesome Marcin! Thank you!
And now some photos.
(No actual battleships were harmed during Sunday's group shoot :--- )
I'm in one of those pictures. Can you find me? :)
