We had six aspiring Riflemen on the line for the final Project Appleseed event at Lewistown for 2014. Thanks to Mifflin County Sportsman's Association for hosting us again this year. The club has seen continual upgrading over the last few years and this fine facility is an ideal place to practice rifle marksmanship.
Elton proved that he "knows well what he is about" by qualifying for his Rifleman patch with a 215 AND clearing a couple redcoats. His most impressive feat of the weekend, however, was his "Aha!" moment when he surrendered to NPOA and put three rounds in a .30 caliber sized hole on his final redcoat. O0
Kristi and Tim both scored over 200, and with a little tweaking will also be winning their patches soon. Thanks to all the students for coming out on a weekend when the weather forecast was marginal, and for persisting when the low temperature and gusting winds provided challenges of their own. Come back soon, and bring your friends!
