What a great event! It started Saturday with me wondering f I was still in WY, brisk and a steady "Casperish" wind. 5 eager shooters ready to get into the grind. The day warmed to a decent mid 60's and sunny. Several rifle issues (mostly scopes) were encountered but overcome. By Sunday afternoon we had 1 new riflemen and several in the 200-209 range. Congrats to Larry (210, 214,225) for working through your frustrations and persevering. Luke and Jarred, keep up the good work, remember to slow down and relax. Your almost there. Jim thanks for the input and I will take it to heart .
Also want to thank Connibear, Randy J and ironscoutAmos for giving time to make this event a success.
Lets hear what you think. Post your thoughts and pics here:
Really was a great weekend. Most of the shooters started off decent, a few needed some work, but after some instructions grouping really got tighter. Five shooters showed up Saturday morning, which as colonial shooter said was a very cool and windy day. We were able to make one AQT before the day ended and the folks were tired and wore out. Sunday proved to be warmer and a lot calmer from the wind. The day brought forth one rifleman and several knocking at the door. Congrats Larry. Luke, as has already been mentioned slow down, forget about time and concentrate on good accurate shots then add speed. Jim glad you had a good time and hope to see you again at an event. Jared, you were doing great just remember NPOA shift and relax. Steve remember to focus on that front sight/reticle and rifleman's cadence.
Thank you to Jason for letting use the range once again. Osage Beach range is a great range and is going to be getting even better.
Hope all the students will return at our next event there and remember to bring a friend.
I will try to post some pics tonight. My pc is running extremely slow the last few days. :wb: Part of living in the middle of nowhere I suppose.

Just got pics uploaded to facebook. Some odd reason it's faster to upload them there than it is here.
This is the link to check out the pictures: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.1559428680944638.1073741836.1460743164146524&type=3&uploaded=13 (https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.1559428680944638.1073741836.1460743164146524&type=3&uploaded=13)
Don't do FB so can't see them.
should be able to click on the link anyway. It's public so you shouldn't need an account. I logged out to try it and it took me to the album. If for some reason you can't see them then let me know and I will have my wife post them on here. ^-^
