Title: Slidell, Louisiana Appleseed - Camp Villere Sept 27 - 28
Post by: geeck on September 29, 2014, 07:05:13 AM
We had a small but very productive Appleseed this weekend 5 shooters and 1 observer. The forecast was for the weekend was rain, we lucked out on Saturday and most of Sunday. However after lunch on Sunday it started falling heavy enough to wet everyone, but it did not dampen the spirits of the shooters. We finished out the day in the rain and have a great time doing it.

We had 2 men turn in Rifleman scores, first John then Tommy. I've have the pleasure to have these gentleman at previous Appleseed events and had no doubt they had what it took. I was honored to be the Shoot Boss at the the event that they got their Rifleman patch.

Marco our junior shooter worked hard and continued to improve throughout the weekend and was already asking the dates for the next Appleseed. He went home with a few AQT's and I'm sure he'll be practicing for the next event. A big thanks to John for bringing Marco, I'm sure John will help guide him and bring Marco to another Appleseed.

Megan seem to struggle a bit at the beginning of the the weekend. Something clicked and she came on like a ball of fire and showed marked improvement by the end.

I'd like to thank Wayne our newest Red Hat for coming out this weekend, it's always a pleasure to work with him.
