Another nice shoot at my home away from home at the Central Texas Rifle and Pistol Club.
We had 8 shooters show up. One father & son team, one father and daughter team, a Killeen police officer, a college student, and two older gents - one of which was a newby shooter.
I had help from Gunner01 and pistolgrip - thanks guys - you sure made it easier for me.
This was a one day shoot and man it's tough trying to squeeze it all in - and still do an AQT. But we accomplished the mission. And man - did the day flash by quick.
Everybody paid attention and improved. The new shooter was shooting like a pro by the end of the day. I can't remember his score but I believe it was in the 180s or 190s. The KPD officer was right at making rifleman. However by the time we did the AQT at the end of the day everybody was pretty much beat. Although it wasn't hot, about 89 or so, it was super humid. Even with the overhead cover I was sweating pretty good.

Had a great time as this was my first appleseed shoot. Didn't quite make rifleman, but made one heck of an effort. The instructors were great, and I really enjoyed hearing the first strike of the match from "someone who was there". Already signed up for the november shoot, and bringing my son this time. @&)
