I apologize for the delay in getting this AAR posted.

We had pretty low attendance considering the wonderful warm September weather we experienced.  Saturday started with 5 shooters and 4 Instructors, so we were able to have lots of one-on-one time with the students.  We lost a parent-child unit within a couple of squares Saturday morning, knocking the shooters down to 3.  Lance, Sergey, and Vitaly stuck with us the whole day (and weekend too) to increase their marksmanship skills and hear some April 19, 1775 history and heritage.

Saturday morning was a bit of a struggle for Vitaly and Sergey who were shooting iron sights, but they stuck with it and with some loaner slings (and later a scoped rifle) made great improvement, with Vitaly coming within one shot of clearing the afternoon Red Coat target.  The shot he pulled was even on the 100 yard silhouette!  Note the proof below.

We had two additional shooters show up Sunday, the Junior Clean clan.  Sergey and Vitaly came on Sunday with freshly mounted scopes and more enthusiasm for learning.  I tried a half count/half time AQT on Sunday, which Roland would describe as an "epic fail".  While this might be a good training exercise for the experienced Rifleman, it was not worth repeating for the non-RM initiated!

Lance was having lots of issues with the Remington Thunderbolt ammo, had to clean and change rifles multiple times.  He finally brought out a mini-30 and proceeded to clear the Sunday afternoon Redcoat using it.

L. Clean, Lance, Sergey, and Vitaly were all knocking on the Rifleman door Sunday afternoon, but just didn't quite make it!  I know with a little dry fire, NPOA, and position practice both Sergey and Vitaly will be RM!   L. Clean, dry fire is the answer to your quest!  Get those transitions and mag changes down, so you don't rush your shots.  Did I mention Sergey was running a bolt gun?  Well done, indeed.  Lance, I think all you needed was some  consistent ammo and you would be wearing a patch and possibly an Orange Hat???

Sergey, here is link to a fine example of a shooter running a bolt during Stage 2 at KD distance of 200 yards.  Scroll down the page and you'll get to the video.  Note  how the rifle left his shoulder only during a mag change.

If you want target pdf's, sling instructions, etc., send me a PM with your email, and I'll get them to you.

Thanks shooters for getting off the couch and giving us Instructors something to do!  Thanks Roland, Mr. Clean and Jeff for your help on the shoot.

Vitaly-thanks for taking and forwarding the following pictures!

Sorry, after 5 trials and fails, I'm done trying to load the remaining pictures.

and to close the photos out, here's Vitaly's almost cleaned Red Coat from Saturday afternoon.  Rushed that first shot, but solid NPOA's for the remaining.  Nice work!

Anybody with hints on how these could have been posted more painlessly, please send me a PM!
