Title: Montpelier, Virginia September 20-21
Post by: BD on September 22, 2014, 09:17:34 PM
We spent a beautiful weekend at the range in Virginia.
Visiting instructors from Iowa and Maryland added to the Virginia crew to provide some variety.
The motivated group arrived on Saturday - and 100% sported proper slings and a great attitude.
We hit the ground running.

The temperature went up to the mid 80's both days for probably the last weekend this year.
No problem.  Everyone stayed with the task at hand.

Our younger participants did great and everyone improved.
I never get tired of watching fellow Americans turn large Saturday morning groups into tight little clusters by Sunday afternoon.

Thanks to all of the instructors!  The Purgason family will most likely be there again next month.  Had a great time.

I very much enjoyed serving along side the Virginia and Maryland guys. It was great to see a number of new riflemen and an orange hat become a red hat. I can't say enough about the range facilities and all the people I met. When I get back to Iowa I will post a bunch of the pictures I took.  Hopefully we will cross paths again someday! Who knows, maybe my next trip to Virginia will bring me to another Appleseed event.
