This is just a placeholder so people can start posting from this past weekend's shoot. Actual AAR to follow shortly.

We had another great weekend in LIBERTY CENTER!
14 fine Americans joined us on Saturday morning. Some were Appleseed veterans and some heard the message for the first time.
The students were eager to learn and it was evident in the progress that was made.
Wyatt was our youngest shooter clocking in at 10 years old and showed what he was made of through the weekend.
Again, lots of progress. Cleared redcoats, a new Rifleman, several repeat Rifleman and a couple 1-2 shots away from Rifleman.
Cyclops210 got over the hump twice this weekend. Good job.
Didn't get a lot of photos this time. Hopefully there are more out there to be posted.

Another great Appleseed at Liberty Center.
Most of the people on the line were from the same church, a majority of the line was related by either blood or marriage and I started thinking about Capt. Parker and the Lexington Militia and the men on the line, but under very different circumstances. Everyone providing encouragement, and some chiding (to be expected) but supplying support to each to better their scores.
Kudos go out to Topper for making these two shoots happen and making all the arrangements. ^:)^
Congratulations to Hans for requalifying as a rifleman and thanks for bring your son. I know Wyatt will become a rifleman also in the coming years.
A big sigh of relief for Cyrus for making rifleman since his wife beat him to punch by qualifying in June. Cyrus showed everyone what can happen after getting the rifleman monkey of your back and relaxing and shooting by shooting a 235? later in the AQT grind. Just remember, you may have beaten your wife's score, but she made it first! **)
It was also great to see border raider Billwinkle and his wife Connie at the shoot.
Did anyone happen to find a white 3-ring binder in the open shelter on Saturday? I cannot seem to locate it in my assorted Appleseed equipment.
Cadence beat me to the punch some on our wonderful shoot at Liberty Center, Ohio. This is our second shoot in Liberty Center and BIG thanks to Topper for making this happen. Saturday dawned with beautiful weather and fourteen motivated shooters.
After the welcome and the safety brief, we were on the line shooting our first Red Coat. And boy were the groups great. Instructions proceeded and everyone worked hard on their skills. The First Dtrike was delivered at lunch and we were back on the line working on seated and offhand.
The Second strike was presented during the afternoon break and we were back on the line for our practice AQT. The day ended with a live AQT (with Bill re qualifying), a Red coat and the Third Strike.
The day ended just prior to the start of a weather front coming in that dumped 3 inches of rain on the range.
Sunday started off sunny but windy. After the morning Red Coat and several NPOA drills we started the AQT grind. Everyone stayed focused and worked hard. Cadence has already covered the Riflemen scores shot. After KD at lunch and a couple of AQTs we shot the final Red Coat a little early to beat another rain squall that was coming. During the rain, we did DOMs and DOWs and returned to the line to enjoy a variety of center fires. There were several M1s, an M1A and a Krag Jorgenson.
I am pleased to say I had the pleasure of squeezing off several rounds through a rifle made in 1898. Wow that was special. Thanks Hanz. The event ended with great friendship and many comments along the lines of "see you at next year's shoot".
What a great and SAFE shoot. My thanks to everybody.

Thank you, Corvette, Cadence, Topper, and Billwinkle for an awesome Appleseed. Wyatt and I had a great weekend.
Saturday was rough at times for Wyatt, but persisted and once he settled in with Cadence's rifle (Thank you!) at the end of the day, he was grinning from ear to ear. Wyatt was enthralled with the 'three strikes' presentations on Saturday (as was I of course), and he told me he didn't care if it rained on early Sunday morning if it meant he got to hear about the 'dangerous old men' sooner. You folks definitely had his attention. That night, after we unloaded the truck and cleaned our rifles, he curled up on the couch with my copy of Paul Revere's Ride. He's already talking about his next Appleseed and wanting a new rifle for Christmas.
Congrats to Cyrus for making Rifleman, and Huzzah on that AQT score later in the day!
Wyatt has a sister and two brothers that I can't wait to bring up Appleseeding as well. I hope to see you folks again on the trail.
Thank you.

You're welcome. It's fun letting others have a chance to put a few rounds through it.
damhans,
The pleasure was all mine in lending Wyatt a rifle. That is why I bring them.
Thanks to you for bringing an enthusiastic, respectful young man to see what real American heritage is really about. This is why we all do this. Just remind him a rifleman persists, as he showed on Saturday by having to shoot 3 different rifles including 2 different loaners. I definitely see a rifleman's patch in Wyatt's future.
THANK YOU FOR A GREAT WEEKEND!
i have some common sense i would like to share... if you have your NPA TRUST IT!!! O0 it will not lie to you
im happy to join the ranks of riflemen and prove to the nonbelievers that i can shoot just as good as my wife!! (maybe a lil better) ;) and to keep the record straight there were 3 aqt's cleared in a row a 213, 215, and a 234
Thanks to corvette , topper, and cadence for hosting another great weekend!!
