Just a note to all Appleseeders. Many of you I have met over the years and had the privilege to work with and shoot with. A few of you are aware that I have had some serious health issues in the last three years or so. I miss appleseed but cannot physically hold up to working a shoot. This may improve in time, we'll have to wait and see. My health is stable, just not what it was. Because of Appleseed I decided to do something on my own to save my little part of the country. This past summer I ran for and was elected to our County Commission. It's a small job in a big country but it's something I can do. I challenge other Appleseed volunteers to do something of like kind. This country is far too large with far too many problems for one person or even a few people to change its direction. But like Appleseed, start local. Next election, look and see what office you can campaign for. I know enough of you to know that a large majority of you have the ability to hold public office. You can make a difference. Appleseed has made a difference.

I hope your health mends and I'll pary in that regard. You get a HUZZAH from me on County Commission service. This is exactly where A/S starts changing the climate!
Becuase of Appleseed I've got involved in my HOA 2 years ago -- 929 single family homes -- so, somewhat like a small town or village. I'm now HOA President. These things will add up if we keep at it.
