Title: Bowling Green, KY Aug. 16-17, 2014 AAR
Post by: Unbridled Liberty on August 18, 2014, 06:43:04 PM
To Sam, Charlie, Andy, Alex, Jason, Jerod, John, Kris, Brian, Dave, Harry, and Jarod; thanks to each and every one of you for coming out.  We saw great improvement in the effective range of our shooters between Saturday AM and Sunday PM.  On the AQT, Sam was knocking on the door with a 204, as was Dave.  And thanks to Dave for stepping up and taking an orange hat!  I really do appreciate your willingness to help us out in Kentucky.

I really enjoyed having young Alex and his dad, Andy, and young Jarod, and his dad Harry on the line.  Andy and Harry; thank you both for "taking good care of the children", just as Isaac Davis would have wanted.  I do apologize to everyone that we were not able to provide as much personal instruction as I would have liked.

And thanks to Ironhead for your help.  You did an absolutely outstanding job on your Dangerous Old Men stories.  If I did not know better, I would never have guessed it was your first time.   O0

Please attend another Appleseed clinic and bring at least two new people with you.  Here is the 2014 Kentucky schedule:

An RWVA Instructor would be happy to come and speak to your club or group and present the Three Strikes.  We call these non-shooting events "Libertyseeds".  Here is the website for more information: www.libertyseed.org. You may use the site to request a Libertyseed event, join the RWVA or make a donation.

A few ideas on how to help your community, state and nation:
First, start at home: Be a good spouse and parent. "Take good care of the children".  Make sure your household is prepared for natural disasters.
Then, get involved in your community: Be a good neighbor and watch out for each other. Become a block captain for your neighborhood. Organize a neighborhood watch program.   Build wheelchair ramps for the disabled, and meet other special needs in your community.  Attend school board and town council meetings, or better yet, run for a position!  Get involved in your local Community Emergency Response Team

Write letters and make phone calls about issues that concern you.  I have been informed by people in the know in Frankfort that when the capitol switchboard gets 1 telephone call for or against a certain issue, they multiply that by 14,000!  That's about the same as the number of militia that turned out by April 20, 1775!  And this is for the little ol' state of Kentucky.  Imagine what multiplier they use when you call Washington, DC!  You can be an army of one simply by voicing your concerns and opinions to your lawmakers!

It is every American's birthright to own a .30 caliber battle rifle: Here is the CMP Garand sales page:

Pictures will follow shortly.  Everyone is invited to post here about your Appleseed experience.  Long live Liberty!  Long Live the Republic!

What more could anyone ask for. I beautiful range. Great shooters with extremely teachable attitudes. Fathers bringing their children out to hear the 3 strikes, why civic duty is so important, and start them down the path of a Rifleman. Most of the line were shooting semi autos but 3 were shooting bolt guns and 2 were single shot rifles. Thanks to Andy and Harry for bringing Alex and Jarod out. Both are fine young men that showed great attitudes and improvement. Kris, Jason and Jerod all three of you are well on your way to become riflemen and I hope to see you all at another Appleseed soon. Brian showed the persistence of a rifleman in dealing with some minor equipment issues without getting frustrated and giving up. Charlie was one of our bolt gun shooters and did very well on the AQT's but. You're knocking on the door of that riflemans score. Sam you are knocking on that door as well. Just keep practicing and you"ll be there in no time. Dave I want to thank you for stepping up and helping as an RSO for us. Also for taking an orange hat. Lord knows we need all the help we can get in Kentucky. Looking forward to working with you soon. John thanks again for supporting us and letting us come to your range. Your a great shooter and I'm sure you"ll be a rifleman in no time.

It was my pleasure to meet you all and have the opportunity to work with you. I just wish I would have had more time to work with you individually. You are all outstanding Americans. Don't forget you can practice at home for free with dry fire exercises. Just make sure there is no ammo in the same room and your rifle is safe. Work on the 6 steps. Steady hold factors. finding and verifying your NPOA and NPOA shifts. You can download dry fire targets here http://appleseedinfo.org/smf/index.php?topic=9833.msg83219#msg83219. Unbridled Liberty has listed several links above for all to use and I suggest you check them out. Lots of good info and research available there.

UL I want to thank you for your patience with me and your help as I make my way down the trail. We shall see each other again soon.
