Saturday presented us with fantastic weather for a July 1 day shoot in Annapolis, MD. We had a great turnout including 2 family groups. Additionally, 10 of the 12 shooters were attending their first Project Appleseed event. The day got started pretty close to the advertised starting time and stayed on schedule the entire day. The students all took well to the instruction and we proceeded quickly thru the course of fire. This allowed us to get to 2 AQTs which is pretty good considering that the Shoot Boss is know to be "long winded"! :) The history lessons were the highlight of the day with the students asking great questions. Kudos to Mostly Harmless for an engaging DOM presentation.
Unfortunately, there were no Rifleman scores but solid efforts by many tell us that Rifleman are just around the corner. When the students return along with a friend, I am confident that their scores will improve. A big shout out to Jacqueline and Andrew for some solid scores.
Big thanks to the host range, the students and the instructors!
