Packed line of fired up Americans to hear the heritage and learn the fundamentals of rifle marksmanship. Huzzah!
WOW.....what a great time!
Myself and several members of my family attended this event. What an awesome weekend. This event was ran very, very well. They did a great job keeping 24 people, of all ages, interested, educated, and most importantly, safe. I'm not very good with names but I do remember some of the "handles". I sincerely want to thank Slim, Corvette, Mustang380Gal, Dirtdawg, Longrifle (or was it longrifleman?), Bodicea, Tactical Tumbler and everyone else that taught us so much, and in a very pleasant way. What a great group of people. I've got to pick another date and go back so I can take my daughter (and the rest of the family that went to this one). She would enjoy it too. HUZZAH!
Oh, and I cleared a Redcoat and I got a Rifleman patch. ^:)^
I could not have done that without the awesome instruction given by those mentioned above. When we started Saturday morning, I wasn't even in the ball park. I listened to the instructions given and my shooting improved drastically.
Looking forward to the next one!
Outstanding! I took notice of your prior AQT that was in the 180's. I thought you were knocking on the door, but when I saw the Redcoat, I knew there was a man among us that knew well what he was about. Congratulations and thank you for bringing out the whole crew.
Some photos from the event. Corvette
Thank you Slim, Longrifleman, Dirtdawg, Corvette, Bodicea, Tactical Tumbler and her mom (whose user name I don't think I ever caught) for quality instruction and engaging storytelling. I hope I didn't forget anyone.
I had a great time and learned a lot. It was a humbling experience. The first day I know I was my own worst enemy. That night, I just had to let go of the ego. I was trying to take too much in and I letting my own frustration and lack of focus prevent me from improving. Day 2 I was more comfortable applying the skills instead of trying to learn something new. I appreciate the patience of the instructors and certainly do not envy them the task of keeping so many varied ages and skill levels engaged and safe. The training was also more physically challenging than I had expected. Those were some long hot days of shooting. Thankfully, it was a fun group to train with. I appreciate Tony's family being so kind.
I do have a few pictures, I will upload once I get them off my phone. I will be back for another Appleseed, hopefully this fall. I'm trying to convince my neighbor to come with me. :)

Bring your whole neighborhood and I will bring donuts!
Here are a few of the better pictures. Thanks again!
My pics must be big, only letting me load a few at a time.
