thanks, i watch for it ^:)^ ;D :pop:
I wish we could get Emily Miller and Katie Pavlich out to an event. A write up by either one would be great.
I know Dom through work. He is aware of and VERY excited about Appleseed. He will absolutely do something to help promote the program.
He is very busy and not sure when he can do it, but he said he has some ideas and it's just a matter of time.
I know for a fact that Appleseed was discussed during the roundtable discussion that became the Defending Our America series for NRA Life of Duty that Dom is involved with. Whether or not it will make the final edit remains to be seem.
Pitmaster, Katie Pavlich is aware of Appleseed. She did this story on the public school event we did:

I invited Emily Miller to the last CDA Ladyseed I did almost two years ago. (My how time flies!) The timing didn't work for her. Maybe AS needs to be a squeaky wheel. She might finally give in and attend an AS. Hopefully she would be pleasantly surprised.
I have reached out to Emily and NRA with no results.
For nra, I think it is 'follow the money'.
Sigh.

For NRA it is about results.
We hobnob with their folks every year at the NRAAM. They've asked us, "So when are we going to do an event together?" And, in true Appleseed fashion, we spend six months debating about it and arguing over who should talk to them and where and by that time they're booked up.
We'll try the same thing again this year and hope for different results!
The tip of the iceberg.

NO power what so ever, give my OK to say to who ever, where ever, and what ever is needed to make this happen. I asked back in June 2014 and the ball was dropped again. :sb:
You are now a committee of one, make it happen.

Thinking you have NO power in this is a mistake. All of us are equally powerful in this organization. (Or, equally powerless if you want to look at the glass half empty.) When it comes to making contact with folks in the NRA it's pretty simple, really. Just show up where they are and talk to them a bit. All these folks who are "celebrities" in the shooting world are just regular people like us in real life. When you go to events, fundraisers and conventions where they are simply walk up to them and say hello.
The more times someone sees "APPLESEED" on a t-shirt, a blog post, etc., the more apt they'll be to check it out and find out what it is. We're still relatively unknown in the firearms community. But, our celebrities have heard of us and they're open to the possibility of working together, especially when they see more and more of us and know we're growing. The industry lights up when they see 48% of our attendees are women and kids - the fastest growing consumer section - and they want to help us help them put their product into our shooters' hands. They've already sponsored most of these shows and celebrity guests. It's our job to connect them with Appleseed.
