At the last Appleseed i attended we had a M1 Carbine on the line on Sunday, the shooter was having problems with his groups what we thought was a breathing problem turned out to be a loose rear trigger guard screw allowing his groups to string vertically.
If you have a rifle that has trigger guard screws check them if the groups are stringing vertically it may fix the shooters grouping.
