Post by: Yankeedutch on May 11, 2014, 12:50:09 AM
Quite a day!!
Even the hail couldn't stop our hardy shooters!
Congrats to Reload on Rifleman in a downpour!
He also took an Orange hat.
Festus made IIT3.
My hat also changed colors.
Special thanks to Brown for coming from Indiana.

I was very impressed with the persistence shown by all shooters.
Some great improvents were made!
Pictures to follow,
Dave

Here are the pictures as promised.
These southern Iowa shooters are tough!!
It does not show up on the picture, but the steam was rolling off of the shooters once the sun came out after the storm.

A special thanks to Stan for setting up this shoot and all of his help.
Also to the president and officer of the club, who were very supportive.  They even helped with set up and clean up.
I was told that people in Lenox were tough.  Richard got a small cut on his nose and started when his shooting glasses pushed back from the recoil of his Sig 716.  We cleaned him up and made some adjustments and he shot really well the rest of the day.
A special Huzzah to our young shooters.  Cade and Noah did really well and toughed out the weather.  Once they put everything together, they will be shooting great scores with their new official Marlin Appleseed LTRs.  We also had some even younger shooters that shot part of the day.  They all had a great attitude and it was a joy to teach them.
