First, let me say Thank You to McDonald Sportsmen's Association for hosting the inaugural Project Appleseed event at their great facility. Instructors and students alike were very appreciative of the use of the clubhouse by the Trap field and the large carport as the rains came through in waves and soaked us repeatedly on Saturday. The students were undaunted and making good progress until lightning chased us off the range at about 4:45PM.
A couple of the students were unable to return on Sunday morning, which was a shame because the weather was MUCH better. And so was the shooting! Ben earned his Rifleman patch with a 219, and Anna cleared her final Redcoat of the weekend, to join the ranks of the 1st PA Rifle regiment. Wind was a big factor on Sunday, and many of the scores would have benefited from stationary targets. Even spiked into the ground, the target stands were waving about quite a bit.
In the "silver lining" department, the torrential downpours on Saturday gave the instructors lots of time to share stories of our American heritage. Marksmanship and Heritage, what a great way to spend a weekend!

3) Anna cleared her Redcoat.
