What a great day this was! Perfect weather for a Appleseed on the 239th anniversary of the battles at Lexington and Concord! We had 41 shooters come out to make 2 tightly packed lines at Harvard attempt 2 squeeze in 16 hours of the Appleseed into only 8 and boy did they do a fantastic job!
We had shooters of all skill levels take on our famous Red Coat target and only 24 were able to go 3 for 3 on the "100 yard" target! It fell off from there, however we did have 8 hit the Murphy Square right off the bat.
As the day went on, our student shooters practiced their skills and listened to the 3 strikes. By the end of the day we had 40 or so very well flogged shooters, with 4 making that Rifleman mark. There were also a group of shooters with scores in that 190 range who probably would hit the mark if we were able to have a 2nd day of shooting.
I would like to take a moment to thank all of the shooters who showed up and gave maximum effort; the Appleseed staff of Red and Orange hats who did a great job to make a fun, safe, and informative event; our good friends at New England Shooters Warehouse of Tewksbury who promoted the event extensively in their shop and even donated a giftcard to a shooter who cleaned the afternoon Red Coat; and last but not least, our good friend Amanda Geist, who did some photography for us that morning!

Thank you for making this a great event!
See you in June!

A tip of the hat to you LT for running such a well-coordinated and well-attended event. After a review of the AARs at other events, it seems that attendance at the Harvard
event easily surpassed any and all others..not to brag too much! Not bad for a state generally known for NOT being shooter friendly.. This shouldn't be a surprise though.
Here in MA we do have a proven history of getting the word out for an April 19th event! ;)
Thanks to Northeast Shooters Warehouse for getting the word out!
Thanks to Amanda Geist for shooting the awesome photos..and we hope to see her come back and shoot a rifleman score..
Thanks to the instructors that came out. You folks are a great team to work with and to learn from.
Thanks to all the shooters that came out! You folks are the best!
