It was a GLORIOUS weekend at Beaver Valley Rifle and Pistol Club. Spring finally arrived, and with it came students eager for rifle marksmanship and American heritage.
Saturday began normally enough, with a Redcoat. But wait, who was that cutting down the regulars with his flintlock? MrHappy, of course! Invictus Maneo treated us to some drum calls to go with his history presentation, and gave accompaniment to the Roll Call Volley at 4PM. And the on the final Redcoat of the day Ethan showed what he could do, clearing his target to earn the 1st PA Rifle Regiment patch. Nice shooting!
About half the students (and half the instructors) were unable to return for Sunday. On the first AQT of the day Ethan again showed his marksmanship prowess by narrowly edging out his dad, Jeremy for "Top Shot" honors. Both earned their Rifleman patch on the same AQT! And the day came to a close on the KD range, with the students applying their KD skills to ping steel out to 200 yards.
It was a great weekend.
Ethan and I would like to thank everyone for sharing their knowledge and helping us become Riflemen.
Seeing my Son earn his 1st PA Rifle Regiment patch on Saturday, and then go all the way on Sunday to earn his Rifleman patch is something I'll never forget.
We are both very proud and can't wait for the next Appleseed!
