Stopped by Walmart on my way home from work today to pick up a few items my wife had mentioned we needed and checked the ammo counter out of habit. Was surprised to learn that Walmart has lifted limits on all ammo except for .22s! Buyers are no longer limited to 3 boxes of 100 rounds or less, or 1 box of more than 100 rounds. If it is on the shelf, you can buy it!
The limits were lifted in Palm Bay, FL last Saturday.
Tonight, there were Federal ammo cans on the shelf with 420 rounds and 720 rounds of 55 and 62 gr. 223 , respectively, as well as large boxes of 308. There were also bulk packs of .45, 9 mm, .38, .357, and smaller 50 or 100 round boxes of .25 ACP, and all common handgun types. Shotgun shells were available in 12, 20, and .410, and slugs were in stock, too. Rifle cartridges were available in all common calibers and grains and bullet types.
Supposedly, this change in ammo policy is now spreading among all Walmarts, at least in Florida this week.
The limits on .22LR will also be lifted in the next few weeks, once expected shipments arrive.
Maybe the long shortage is over! :)

Happened through a WalMart up here I Virginia last weekend with the same result. No restrictions. Of course, no 22 either. If we can keep the twits in DC from causing yet another panic buy, this too shall pass.
Not all across the state though. SW Orlando (Dr. Philips) still has three box limit.
Still no .22 in the walmart here - and still 3 box of 50 limit. Tried yesterday. The guy I talked to said they only get in 10 boxes of 50 at a time and it's gone immediately.
If nobody I know can even find any where is it all going?
Picked up my 3 boxes of CCI 40gr and a half dozen boxes of Federal 158 JSP 357 for my Marlin pig gun. No limit on anything but 22lr here in Tampa at WallyWorld.
Limit in IL also lifted on everything but .22LR which they don't have and the assistant manager (who enjoys shooting) can't order. He said they are only allowing him to order certain ammo at certain times.
Saw lots of everything but .22 at Gander Mountain but it was all overpriced.
