Title: CCI Blazer value packs at Palmetto State Armory
Post by: SteelThunder on February 05, 2014, 02:23:25 PM
They went fast last time.  My rifles love them...nearly as accurate at MiniMags, much better in my experience than Federal or Winchester (and orders better than Remington)

Thanks for the heads up.

PSA is a very dangerous and evil web site.  They have horrific specials like complete AR15 lower halves for $149.

Yeah, I got this vicious stripped lower and upper (blemished) from PSA for about $100 COMBINED! I think the cerakote might have made them a little less evil......or maybe not :).

Ok ST, thanks for putting this up yesterday without telling me. So how much the blazer at PSA?  Just curious.

I may eventually run out of 22s (in about 5 years) but am always looking to eventually refill my stock.

Ran $50...$0.10 / round.  Spendy still but not out of line with the going rate.  You can infrequently find it for cheaper...just have to be retired/right place right time.

here you go.  a much better deal.  from cabela's and still in stock.  It's about 33 dollars shipped.  however you are limited to 1 box but at least your not getting screwed over by another in the business.

And remember...you never get "screwed over".

Basic theory of economics...you pay what it is worth to you at the time.  Too expensive?  Don't buy it.  Too expensive and really need it so you go ahead and buy it?  Then it wasn't too expensive.

Gouging is only true if someone is forcing under fear of death you to pay for something.

I semi agree with you but only to a extent.  If cabelas is selling them for 24 I'm positive palmetto wasn't paying much more.  however they chose to gouge fellow gun owners vs helping promote the sport for a reasonable cost.  I'm not saying they can't charge more as I love capitalism however I'm one of those people who refuse to buy from a company who likes to gouge when times are tough.  they are charging 26 more dollars than cabela's was.  that means you could get 2 boxes for the price of one.  just something to think about.

And Cabela's limits you to one brick, while Palmetto lets you get what you want.  Do you prefer rationing by quota, or by price?  Take your pick.  I also like the Cabela's approach, but there's room for both.  It's called freedom.

The market price is much better than rationing.  With the market price the people that need the item the most are able to obtain it.

Cabelas just contributed to Gunbroker sales.  I would rather buy from PSA than an unknown source on GB.

Then one gunbrokes vender is close to me and offers free shipping on cases of ammo so I use it to gage the market as it is a "whole " price. >10 - .12 is about going rate for average ammo.

I haven't seen Blazer is quite a while.

Who cares if palmetto was paying more or less?  Did anyone force you to buy from them?  No?  Then it wasn't gouging.  Did you have other options?  Yes?  Then it wasn't gouging.

Cabelas and Palmetto are doing exactly the same thing.  They are rationing.  Why aren't we all mad at Cabelas for limiting to us to one box?  If they were really promoting the sport at a reasonable cost, wouldn't they have unlimited boxes available at their cost?

The Laws of Economics are as sound as the Laws of Physics.  While "command and control economics" and "travel between dimensions and time" may be possible "Supply and Demand" and Newtons rules work a whole lot better here in the real world.   Only in acadummy-ahhh and goober-mint can you infinitely  spend more than you have and control for unlimited possibilities  of human potential.

Unfortunately Freedom requires work and education and people have been ensnared in the trap of the "safety net."

If you want to be made at someone get a mirror and look at the person that elected officials that have allowed themselves to become irrelevant by giving their powers to "regulating bodies."

So the answer is? Don't elect the official that's going to allow themselve to become irrelevant?

Please share with me your process for QUARANTEING this. Maybe just don't elect anybody?
