Saturday turned out to be a great day to shoot: It had rained a couple days before which helped to settle the dust for the ever windy range here in Fresno, and the sun was out so it was about a perfect 60-65 degrees. Sunday, unfortunately, wasn't as nice: the wind kicked up about 2pm bringing in the rain. We had to stop the shoot because we couldn't keep the targets upright. But even though we couldn't shoot anymore the rain was a much needed blessing for our parched valley.
We had seven shooters on Saturday. Matt, who was a first time Appleseeder, was probably one of the best first timers I have ever instructed: he managed to score 224 and 226 on the first day! He just absorbed what we taught him like a sponge. Kyle was back for his fourth AS and score a high of 214 to reinforce his riflemenship that he had earned at a previous AS.
Sunday was a lighter crowd of only three people so this gave the shooters some valuable one-on-one instruction and allowed some of the instructors to shoot as well!
All in all, it was a good weekend.
Thanks to Garand56 for allowing me to SBIT this shot, and to Chukar Hunter, Double D, and ScottyL33T for their help.
Nice job Krahnic-it will be good to have another active shoot boss in the area!
