Title: I just knew they had it
Post by: OutaAmmo on January 25, 2014, 01:45:01 PM
I just knew they had .22LR ammo when I pulled into the Gander Mountain parking lot and the Brinks Armored Car was unloading.  I swear they where unloading .22LR ammo.  Scored 600 rounds.  Better than the Bass Pro shop that only lets you buy 100 rounds when they have it.  Scored another 100 at another local shop.

Assorted brands but price was $.065 to $.08 each round.  I was glad to get it.

CMP lists Aguila .22 @ $260 + shipping per 5K; math rusty but if $25 shipping comes in around .057/round...

That's the good news; the bad news is that CMP very tentative/iffy re waiting time between order and reception of ammo.  Still best deal, generally, around - just have to plan waaaay ahead.

CMP also, for first time, is now listing center-fire pistol ammo (9mm, .40, and .45 acp) @ good prices - same caveat as above re delivery time...

Be glad you're not in "Safe NY" state, and thus don't have to apply to register with the NY State Police as an "ammunition keeper" (am NOT making this up) if your club or group wants to distribute (read give out) ammunition for shooting programs like 4H and Boy and Girl Scouts....

PS   2014 Ruger (only, so far) IPP sheet now available...send email addresses for attachment of sheet....

CMP ammo prices are no longer locked in per the last email.  The price will  be what there new price from the manufacturer is plus what they have to add to  cover cost.  You will have the option  to accept the new price or decline the order.
