Our very own xsquidgator has secured range space at the Central Florida Rifle and Pistol Club (CFRPC) to do an IBC.
There is some flexibility as to the date (last two weekends in February) so PM me with your choice of dates if you are interested.
IBCs are open to all IITs and Instructors.
Besides being an instructor only clinic this is an opportunity to meet and work with your Appleseed brethren.
-Peter
Interested!
Rimfire or Centerfire???
As a rule the IBC is to teach the teachers how to, well, teach. Most will involve very little, if any, actual shooting but lots of time learning how to diagnose problems and effective methods of instruction. Now a RBC or KDC is a different animal entirely and there you will be shooting--a lot.

Alas draken, we only have approval for dry-practice. IBCs are the, "drink-from-the-firehose" for Instructor skills and typically don't involve shooting. I hope future Instructor events at the CFRPC can make use of the 300 yard line but for right now it is teaching time.

Roger that! Still in for sure for the 22nd/23rd and tentative on the 15th/16th (I'll be On-call that weekend, not sure if can find somebody that covers for me, specially since I'm seeking coverage as well for the 1st and 2nd ....)
Peter,
If you ever want to host one at PMRPC, you could include live fire. We have several ranges we could use.
Unfortunately, we're not exactly centrally located for the cadre....

Peter, is the date finalized yet? I'm definitely in, but need to start moving some things around on my schedule now so I can make it O0
Hey Folks,
We'll be holding our IBC on Feb 22-23rd. xsquidgator has secured a small range for our practice line as well as the clubhouse.
If you are attending on Feb 22-23rd please PM me. Also come up with ideas for fun stuff (BBQ, etc).
As a shooter you worked towards that difficult Rifleman standard...what are you doing to improve as an instructor? If you can't attend this one then get after me (or others) for what you need. Organize with other Appleseeders in your local area and we'll do an IBC (or at least something) at your range/house/coffeeshop/wherever.

1) We have resource limitations (clubhouse is usually booked as well most ranges) and I wish we could have scheduled for a free weekend (Thanks for pointing that out Engineer Shooting). Last thing I wanted to do is steal Instructors from active shoots or burn people out with too much Appleseed (can there ever bee too much?!?).
2) We will definitely take you up on that offer. I want IBCs to be available to everybody. It is a great chance to brush up on skills, learn from others and generally have a fun time! To that end lets work on getting one on the schedule in Palm Bay. This offer stands for any range and any area. If you want to meet for coffee I can do that too!
-Peter
As always, my place is available for an IBC. the last 2 held here went well.
Are IBCs a one time deal, or is it good to go every so often for refreshers?
You can go to as many IBC's as you like and in fact, occasionally attending one is a great refresher even for experienced instructors. Besides that, you get to hang out with some of the finest people in the world...
OK then. Smoak, if you have one at your place, I'll be there!
Going to be in the Orlando area during that time. Would ypu mind someone from the great white north interloping on your IBC for one day? We did just a massive IBC up here but I always learn good stuff from you Florida folks. Besides it's been awhile since I've seen any of you.
mac,
Polite of you to ask, but you would always be welcome even if unannounced. It will be a treat to meet more extended family.
PM me if you have any questions.

Looks like my plans have changed. Probably won't be in Florida until the week after if at all.
All,
We'll be in the CFRPC clubhouse. You can't miss it and if you do just ask anybody there (we're a friendly bunch).
Directions to the range: http://cfrpc.com/directions.html (http://cfrpc.com/directions.html)
If any questions come up please don't hesitate to call me 714 390-3043.

ps. mac (or any visiting Appleseeder) ring me up and we'll get a...beverage...while you're here. First round on me!
