Here is a list of trainings for Newcastle, PA just over the PA boarder from Ohio. I plan on doing the NRA Rifle and Shotgun and BIC (Basic Instructors Course) in February. RSO (Range Safety Officer) will also be offered that weekend.

Below is the shooting sports schedule for the Spring. We already have students signing up. If you want to take a course or know someone who does, please sign up on the NRA portal. If you want to help, we will need some pistol instructors in the afternoon for the basic pistol course specifically and the instructor courses generally.
The first public hearing on the range project is Tuesday at 6 pm at the Cranberry Township municipal center. So far things are going well with the Township staff. If you want to come you are welcome, we will be looking for numbers for the later hearings as word spreads. Please check the township website for a weather related change in the meeting before you come.
Here is the schedule:
Feb 7 - Basic Instructor Training
Feb 8 - Personal Pistol or Pistol Instructor or Rifle\Shotgun combined instructor
Feb 9 - Range Safety Officer
March 7 - Refuse to Be a Victim (RTBAV)
March 8 - Personal Protection in the Home Student (PPIH) ( RTBAV and Pistol Course prerequisites)
March 9 - Personal Protection in the Home Instructor (RTBAV and Pistol Instructor prerequisites)
March 22 and 23 - Personal Protection Outside the Home Student (RTBV and PPIH student prerequisites)
April 24 - RTBAV or BIT
April 25 - Pistol Instructor or Rifle\Shotgun\Muzzle Loader combined instructor
April 26 - PPOH Instructor (PPOH Student required)

Have a friend who is looking for Rifle Instructor rating to help as an advisor/instructor with our new venture crew out at the range. Rifle course over at Madd Duck conflicts with the Buckeye Bash dates however. Been looking for something with a training counselor we knew at the very least. I know he will get great instructions from you and your staff, so I sent your info along to him. What are the options for lodging around there? We have a mutual friend that lives near Johns (Madd Duck) training facility, which gave him a place to stay. Might be a limiting factor for him, so figured I'd do the pre-emptive strike and have info when he asks ;)

I believe there are accommodations available at the Scout Camp. If that is all that is keeping you from attending with advanced notice Appleseeders can crash at my place.
