Four hardy shooters showed for What was DEFINITELY a Winterseed. Snow on the ground, with lots more on the way later in the evening, and -2 degrees during registration. It would warm up to a balmy +14, before falling back down below 10 late in the afternoon as the sun set. We had a great group who started and stayed safe all day, and steadily progressed as the instruction unfolded. We took in History during lunch in the (warm) clubhouse, and shot the AQTs and also ball-and-dummy and happy finger drills after lunch, finishing up with a redcoat. There were some almost-riflemen, and everyone vowed to return for another crack at the patch. Thank you all for coming, remaining positive, safe, and receptive. Thanks also to our host club, Pemigewasset Fish and Game, and to Dan who did extra duty to make up for my gimpiness. We hope to see you all again in 2014!
Wow! Now that's dedication! Living in Florida, I can't even imagine shooting an Appleseed in the snow. Kudos to those 4 brave shooters who showed up! True patriots every one!
